Lightning Lane at Walt Disney World

If your one night deluxe stay is the night of the extra hours, then you are eligible. That one night doesn't make you eligible for the length of your stay.
And assuming you're linked to the long reservation, you can't be linked to both. You'd have to break it into chunks and actually check in/out I believe.

I think it would make you eligible for two nights - the night of your stay and your checkout night.

In the Parks
No
You would still need valid admission/park reservation (either to that park or via park hopping) to enter.
Gotcha yes. So i just called to verify this info. Basically if i wanted to stay the extra 2 hours all i would need to do was book the hotel and im allowed to stay in the park. In theory never even go there. Just show proof of reservation. Thats extremely interesting.

On my last trip I booked a 1-night campsite at FW for early entry/ILL-at-7am access on the two days and never showed up to FW. Early entry and ILL worked as expected.

I did not cancel the campsite and was charged in full for the stay, as expected.

Don't believe anything you're told on the phone.

I'm not sure why this thread has gone on this long.

The current issues with park levels, ride availability, etc is a feature, not a bug. For decades (or at least the better part of two) Disney has refused to build out capacity and really only replaced rides to any great degree. Meanwhile demand has far outstripped supply. Now the cattle are mooing ever louder in the paddock and people are surprised?

Or to put it another way? To quote Ruby from the Movie Cold Mountain (note mods I self censored it) as it contains naughty language...
Every bit of this is man's bull****, they call this war a cloud over the land? They made the weather than stand in the rain and say "well S*** it's raining."

Why should Disney do anything? Folks still show up. The reason they switched from FastPass to Genie is to MAKE MONEY for NOTHING.

But you do have to plan....you have to plan what park you are in every day, you said it yourself

that IS planning

I mean how silly do we want to get?
You have to pick a resort.
You have to pick dates.
You have to decide to go to WDW.
You have to book air travel/car rental/driving plans.
You have to take time off of work.

Everyone except locals with APs truly had zero planning. Picking 3 rides a day 60 days in advance was nothing. Picking your favorite dining spot was nothing.

Never understood people complaining about planning. You're going to a massively popular tourist destination and you want the freedom to choose whatever? Suffer the consequences of not planning so don't be mad about it.

Be happy Disney doesn't force you to buy park specific tickets AND do park reservations.

I assume the extra half hour early access to every resort guest impacts this one. If you want to take advantage of that, you're up anyway then. Combined, the two are clearly trying to get people into the parks earlier, closer to open.

Planning our trip and picking the first G+ at 7:00 doesn't sound so bad when the goal is being at the park gate at 7:30 or 8:00 to get in and be at the first ride right when it opens 30 minutes early for guests. Probably be at a bus stop or in transit by then. At the very least, picking up breakfast.

In fact, my bigger complaint is that breakfast doesn't open until 7:00 and that conflicts with those goals. Breakfast should open 2 hours before park open. First 30 minutes since that's the extra time perk. Then 30 more since that looks like when you want to get to the park so you're in and ready for the early time. Next 30 more to allow for transit to the park. Finally, 30 minutes to allow time to actually eat breakfast first. Meaning today, AK opened at 8:00. That's 7:30 early entry, 7:00 arrive at the park gate to head in, 6:30 get on a bus, 6:00 is when breakfast should open. In that light, the 7:00 G+ start is practically relaxing. The MK 9:00 open just barely lines up with a 7:00 day start, the rest are all earlier.

It's also possible the early entry extra time is super obnoxious. But, that's the perk they're giving for their own reasons.
This past week when I was there animal kingdom opened at 7am and I was literally at the bus stop at 6am. Then at 7am when the park opens everyone is running to their first ride on their phones not looking where they are going. No danger there at all *facepalm*

Have done genie two out of our 4 park days so far. It is basically pay for fastpass. Can it be useful sure, is it absolutely needed? Eh. If I think of it as WDW could have raised prices $15 on every ticket or they could sell the upcharge to those willing to pay it, it's easier to swallow.

OMG....no sht sherlock.......I think we all do.........Did you not read the post?

The first sentience of my post was that there are some things they will not change no matter what..........so assuming those factors, then what?

Paid line skipping, park pass reservations and dining reservations are here to stay forever

so why not book rides in advance if you already have to do the other things that arent going anywhere

What is the drawback?
Jeez. Chill out. You asked a question and got a reply to the very question you asked then rudely responded to by pretending you didn't ask the question. OMG

Ive never stayed off property but people here have and stated they were able to get top tier FP at times. I know AP holders were as well. But its not like there was nothing available & again. If that is the case. Disney is saying we value nonresort guests more than resort guests?!? Can they be that dumb?

As a former AP holder the only ride I remember having an issue with was FOP everything else wasn’t an issue. ROTR wasn’t open yet last time I had passes.

I’m not sure what this has to do with my post.
Your post rightly so states that for decades (or at least the better part of two) Disney has refused to build out capacity and really only replaced rides to any great degree. My post said, why should Disney do anything? Folks are not only still showing up, but because of Genie + and ILL (the subject of this thread) now PAYING to ride the same attractions that were free to ride before. Disney is making MONEY for NOTHING.

Thanks the response made sense but quoting me is what lead to my confusion.
