Some of the reports I'm seeing are not good news for those who used the "grab and modify" strategy with FP+.

It looks like there is no "modify" option with G+. Similar to Park Pass, it appears G+ makes you cancel your existing LL in order to choose a different time. So if you grab the first available (for say, 2pm), but then you refresh and see an 11am slot pop up, it's possible that by the time you cancel your 2pm reservation and return to the LL selection screen, the 11am slot could be gone, and now you've lost the one you had at 2pm.

You have to add it for all days of your trip. There’s an option to add to existing tickets. If you choose it, it gives you a total price for all days.

Interesting, where in the app could you add it to all your days?
On my app, it says to buy, I need to call to get it added to my existing reservation. I check in on Saturday.

Is it saying that so many people purchased and now the standby is 55 minutes, or the purchased line is 55 minutes? (which would be ridiculous)

That's been known for a while due to the media event and CM training reports.

The constant 'refresh trick' of FP is dead.

We're going the week of Xmas... So much stress already being added.. Do we buy Genie+ in advance? Do we buy day by day? If you can buy day by day, why in the world WOULD you buy in advance? We've been there at xmas and had a really bad stretch of weather. I've already paid for the crazy expensive tickets... added hopper... and if I added Genie + (all for four of us) and then decided to miserable to go to the park, I'd probably go bananas.

So far reading... Looks like if you get up early and head to the parks, take a LL if you have an early one, otherwise wait for inventory to open up at 9. And if you accept a late in the day reservation, does that mean you're stuck doing nothing until then?

Just me, or does this seem like the worst of the worst? With the added benefit of now paying for confusion and all day button mashing?

On the Home Screen next to My Future Plans, if you change My Day to the day of your first admission, you can scroll down to a bar giving you an option to purchase Genie+. I just followed the prompts.

Keep in mind that there are a lot of bloggers buying G+ & ILL today to report on it so I'd hold off on the disappointment for at least a few days. If there are still people buying ILL for 7DMT at park open after that, I'll join you in your disappointment and scorn.

I'm guessing to avoid complaints of, "Your app said the wait would be 5 min. at 3pm, but it was 20!".

That makes sense. I didn't think of the first day bloggers syndrome.
