Life After Disney

That would be awful if that happened to Disney but I don't think that a hurricane would do that for one reason. Most damage from hurricanes is the storm surge from the ocean. Orlando is too far inland.
I was thinking the same thing. A nasty hurricane could do plenty of damage at Disney, but you wouldn't have the devastating floods that New Orleans got.

Right, I do agree that more then likely Disney would not flood from a storm surge since they are a good bit inland but they could still get extreme winds and water damage if roofs were ripped off. I still dont think something like that would be enough for Disney to just close the gates for good at WDW though. Of course they would have to repair but I dont think they would close down completely.

Although now thinking about it, they do have alot of smaller lakes around Disney that if a strong slow moving wet cat 4 or cat 5 Hurricane came over it could cause flooding. This is all just me thinking since I have NO IDEA how Florida's drainage system is and what Disney's course of action would be in this event so take it with a grain of salt, lol. Lets just hope that we never find out what would happen.

Oddly enough, I enjoy the post-apocalyptic look. Guessing its from playing games like Fallout, S.T.A.L.K.E.R, and Epic Mickey. I can imagine a group of survivors wearing gas masks and carrying rifles wandering through the parks, looking for food, supplies, anything they need to survive. To tell the truth its a similar setting for one of my online roleplays, showing a post-apocalyptic Disney World as a result from the Phantom Blot from Epic Mickey escaping into our world.

Anyways...

I recently visited the Smithsonian Museum of American Art and National Portrait Gallery and saw a work by artist Alexis Rockman that I thought would be of interest to everyone here:

The first is called Disney World I and the second, Disney World II

If someone makes a Left4Dead map based entirely in Disney World, and not just one ride, I'd be happy.

Also I saw those last two post-apoc Disney pictures before, so its not a surprise that they would be posted here.

Wow pretty neat and eerie pics of disney abandonned and not used. But I'm a big Fringe fan and wonder what the Alternate Disney World is like.

Alternate Disney World, lets say would look like that yet have creatures from Epic Mickey or something stalking around. And everyone is forced to carry guns there.

I can see it now. STALKER: Call of Disney! :ROFLOL:

New movie, "I am a Disney Legend". Will Smith running around the four parks. Searching for the one remaining Dole Whip machine. Poor guy still can't get the music from Small World out of his head. Definitely, does not go into the Haunted Mansion.

You know, it amazes me... we've seen pictures of certain abandoned parts of WDW such as the Food Rocks theater, the upstairs ImageWorks, Wonders of Life pavilion and such...

I am here to wonder why nobody made a picture of life after disney on JIIWF, or SGE, or Sound's Dangerous!! Those would be happy pictures!! :sohappy:

I've never seen these, off to google!

It would be great if disney could make everything in the haunted mansion work without elctricity, for about 5 years so that it could be actually haunted o-o

I have had plenty of thoughts about a post-apocalypse Disney World, and how cool it would be to see the place in that kind of ruined style. That would actually make the utilidors interesting, and the parks would just be cool over-grown, I think. That would truly make one heck of a game map(s)/movie plot.

I am currently making a 100% True WDW Haunted Mansion for Left 4 Dead 1 and 2 and I am then gonna make Magic Kingdom and then Epcot, Then Hollywood Studios, Then AK and it will be one playable map!
