Walled off as of when? It wasn’t walled off last week when I was there. I used the walkway multiple times and walked through the castle several times too. Usually my timing is off that I can’t walk through the castle because of castle shows.

Doesn't seem like they hardly did anything to it.

They didn't even make it 1/3 wider not even close to doubling its width.

Here you can see the railing that has green boards attached. Maybe they will cover these with green scrims?

haha, i dont disagree. in general i mostly hate brides and i find disney weddings a bit cheesy, but alas here i am.

the park is huge, i'm sure there are plenty of great photo ops. i'm not too worried. i was just trying to use that email warning as a hint to what renovations/maintenance is to come this year. it is interesting they say no photos at the mickey/walt statue

Photo update as of Saturday, May 11, 2019. The walkway is closed now, from behind the castle to the colonial fried chicken and waffle house (which is still serving). From the concrete recently poured, you can picture the new outline and width of the walkway.

With the new construction wall, you can only access the serving line for the quick service. The outdoor dining area is completely walled off with no access. I suppose guests can take their waffles to Liberty Square.

To the right of the construction wall, you can see the outdoor dining area is still open, but not accessible to guests. The exit to the Hall of Presidents has a wall preventing access to this area also.
