Their Yeti?

Yeah, it's "theirs". The CM's work there 40 or more hours per week, for years or decades at a time. (I saw a Disneyland name tag last weekend on a CM working at Peter Pan that was "RICH - CLASS OF 1960"! 45 years that guy has been working at Disneyland! And he was very upbeat and chipper!)

They should get to name it. And in all likelihood, it is the CM's who will name it. We could come up with a name here on this message board, but it's very unlikely that it would stick. And if Disney's PR machine finds out that the Animal Kingdom CM's have taken a page from the Disneyland history books during the 50th celebration and given the new animatronic Yeti on the big new E Ticket a pet name, then it's all over and they'll make a media thing out of it and that name will become official.

The CM's named Harold at the Matterhorn decades ago, and I am very confident the CM's at Expedition Everest will have the honor of naming their abominable snowman as well. They deserve that honor in my opinion.

I stand firm on my vote for Jesus, or Christ.

EDIT: Apparently the name Jesus and Christ offend people, so we're going to pretend there is no such thing as religion, even though the fact that most of the United States (where most of us are from) believes in him. I know this could lead into a 271 page debate so lets just pretend it was a typo and I meant to say Chris T. and I meant Jesus meaning the Spanish boy's name (pronounced Hey-sues). Sorry, dude, didn't know you only believed in "The Force".

Many (if not most) CMs do not work in one place for decades.

Who cares? I think the idea of this thread was to have fun with it, but maybe some people missed that.

They may work there, but that still doesn't make it their's anymore that it is ours.

Lets just say that over time, the CM's choice of the name for the Yeti will be adopted like Harold has been for the Matterhorn (Which would be awesome to have over here because it is one of the best rides at Disneyland).
