You know, it's crap like this that infuriates me. The Yankees suck? Let's see--how many more WS championships do they have than Boston? When was the last time Boston won their division? When was the last Boston won anything? And the Yankees suck? Pedro threatens the Yankee bench, hits Garcia with a pitch thrown behind him and tosses a 72 year old man to the ground. Yeah, he's the man.

Grow up and give teams the respect they deserve. So you don't like New York--shut your mouth until Boston wins the next 20+ World Series.

P.S. Learn how to spell before you try and make your posts too. You've doubly shown off how little intelligence you have.

Ugh... Ok... Don was wrong to go out with fist up and cocked back...

2nd.. Pedro was wrong for throwing a 72 year old man to the ground......

I dunno who to root for now.. in the ALCS :(

Ummmm.....is that cheezecake eating contest still open?

Geez, Louise! What the hell is goin' on with this series? This whole thing with Zimmer, Pedro and the Yankees bullpen is sickening!

My take: Zimmer became infuriated with Pedro and charged at him. Pedro grabbed Zimmer by the head and tossed him aside. IF Pedro truly wanted to hurt Zim, he could have but chose instead to toss him aside instead of throwing any punches. Yes, Zim is a fiesty 72 y/o but he's got to know that he can't choose to charge anyone especially since he's a coach.

Let it be known that I love ol' Zim. He did after all manage the Sox so many years ago and took them far under his guidence.

And as for the statement by james4023464: Out of line, man! Completely out of line........

Yay Yanks, way to go. What a game, huh? Totatly crazy. I watched the game with a bunch of Red Sox's fans tonight and because the Yanks won (and obviously I was cheering them on), they were tempted to duck tape me, throw me in the trunk of one of their cars, tatoo a big NY on my chest and drop me off in Kenmore Square. Let me tell you that would be something I wouldn't want to experience first hand. I would get the crap kick out of me.

I'm sure Sox fans are calling this a publicity stunt.

How much will Pedro's fine be?

Don't know about a fine...a publicity stunt? Maybe, but I do know that his knees were done last year and they take quite awhile to heal and the seam at the bone can easily be broken.

I just heard that they want to arrest Nelson and Garcia for "assaulting" that idiot who attacked them in the bullpen (a Fenway Park employee, by the way).

Actually that "idiot" got suckered punched by Jeff Nelson. He was only cheering for the Red Sox. The Boston Police back up his story. Garica just jumped in and injures himself. So if anyone is to blame its Nelson and Garica for jumping the groundkeeper.

As for Zimmer... He got what was coming to him. I'm not condoning Pedro's actions in anyway, but Zimmer charged at Pedro. All Pedro did was sidestep Zimmer and shove him to the ground. It just further proves that Pedro is a punk and so is Clemens.

Like I've said before, If Zimmer was so afraid for his health (and he should have been), he should have never left the bench...especially after both teams received a warning. Was Pedro wrong? Sure...but so was Zimmer....If anybody comes at me in the middle of a melee that I know doesn't like me, I'm gonna defend myself. Pedro could have easily punched him out, but he threw him aside.

Zimmer put himself in a bad place.

And want to talk about how many WS victories the yankees have? I've said this before too - you can buy yourselves championships if you have enough money.

Well, I've just seen the Zimmer replay from another angle..he was swinging his left hand (though I'm sure the NY papers won't show this...), and Pedro side stepped him and pushed him aside.

And zimmer can't run? Funny how ESPN highlighted him tonight sprinting across the field at Pedro.

People like you are the reason the phrase Masshole exist and the reason Bostonians get a bad name everywhere they go. Real mature comment you made

Ok I hate to say it but the Yankees were wrong but also that Williams guy was wrong for instigating it . If you are rooting for the Red socks then dont stand next to Yankees putting a red socks flag in his face . That was just plain wrong. I also think that the security was not what it should have been at this ball park if this went down at Yankee stadium it would have been fixed alot better than this , What the heck was a grounds keeper doing in the Bullpen anyways ?

First, and unfortunately, it's the nature of the beast in baseball today. It's not fair, but until they change the rules, that's the way it's going to come down. Since it is the rules, Steinbrenner has done nothing illegal in the way he puts together a team. Baseball seriously needs a salary cap. Until the players agree to this, then I don't think they--the players--are too upset about NY getting the rings every October. Second, how many WS have they won? 23? And how many had they won before Steinbrenner bought the team in 1974 were bought? I would imagine zero.
