Legend of Jack Sparrow...what's the buzz?

Hmmm going mid Sept so crowds are expected to be low...might have to check it out! Thanks!
Check it out, its fun just don't do it if the wait time is over 30 go back later in the day when its a walk on! The best part of the attraction is the technology that makes it look like Johnny depp is standing less than a couple feet away from you.

I hated it, and I think its definitely one of the worst. Stitch is absolutely better and that is saying a lot. I suppose its better than Narnia, but that isn't saying much of anything either.

Even as filler I found it annoying, the way they attempt to pass it off like everything is actually interacting with you. I know its "Studios" but I hate that it is clearly a set. If anything, it feels like a tech demo for projections.

I went on this in June with my DD. If you are a big Pirate fan, then do it once. More then that isn't necessary. It is funny, because after I wanted my DS to see it, as he and I are the big Capt. Jack fans, but I was happy to send him on his own to do it. Once is enough.

Definitely not the best HS attraction they could offer. The effects were good, the design of the stage is phenomenal but the interaction and participation was kinda corny. But I agree it was better than the Narnia predecessor though.

What makes Flying Carpets stand by out more than any of the other spinners?

Probably placement in an area that could be so better used or even just left as open space. Gotta agree that I cringe every time I turn the corner and see it taking away from the flow and having golden camels spit at me!

God bless the "Ignore" button.

Legit. At least you can easily avoid Dora the Jack the Explorer.

Title of this thread alone made me laugh. You can actually experience this attraction at home if you turn on one of the movies, clap your hands, stomp your feet, and yell. The effects are neat but it is essentially a pre-show done as an entire attraction.

What about for a kid into the Pirates... movies?

If a kid is young enough enjoy stomping his feet when told to do so by a cartoon he's too young to be watching the Pirate movies.

This is an attraction with literally no appropriate audience.

It's not really worth the wait. It's a short show with some cool set pieces and decent technology, but it really isn't much more than a 'sing-a-long' with Captain Jack Sparrow. (It's not really a sing-a-long, but you're told what to do and say along with the Cap.)
Sing-a-long...That sounds scarier than haunted mansion! No thanks!

If you must.
I went into this thing last week with no expectations and was still disappointed.
Nothing in this attraction looks good- the projections look murky and faint due to poor lighting balance, the Jack Sparrow projection is at least a decade behind what Universal is doing with Musion Eyeliners and the Johnny Depp performance is jaw-droppingly bad. I realize that it's a rather long take they had to record with him, but is this really the best footage they got?
