Legend of Jack Sparrow...what's the buzz?

I wonder if this will be re-themed to Star Wars at some point, with Obi Wan taking the place of Jack Sparrow. He could command the audience to fend off Storm Troopers by using the force, which consists of stomping their feet and clapping their hands....

I just looked for the Prince Caspian thing on You Tube - so was that basically just a trailer you watch on a large screen?

Lol, yes, essentially. When I experienced it with my family, I had no idea what I was in for, so I was quite excited as I stepped through the wardrobe doors. I thought the 'trailer' was the pre-show. I was shocked when I realized that was all there was to it.

When you're the leader, you don't have to follow.

Disappointed in it. Huge PoTC fan. Thought we were in some sort of preshow, with the real show through the doors. Walked trough the doors and was standing outside. Wouldn't waste a whole lot of time to see it.

For the Narnia one, I can't believe they bothered to have that CM come out as the queen - she was the only thing in it besides the trailer. Stupid!

I had the same reaction.
At least they didn't have the gall to drop you into a gift shop.
After watching a recording of Johnny Depp sluring his way through that mess I figured they owed me money.

It's pretty neat. The effects are good, and it really does look like Jack is standing in there with you. I think it's worth doing at least once.

I honestly wouldn't put it past Disney to do this.

Just went...September 15th...not much to it...unless you just need some air-conditioning at the time...thought it was the pre-show but it was the whole show...

Just back from the world last night. I have to say we enjoyed it and for what it is I think Disney put their best foot forward. It is light years over the Narnia attraction. At least this was something original and not just a recap of the movie like its predecessor. I would agree that it is not a huge do-again on the same trip but when we are back again I would say we would not be opposed to seeing it once more though.

Just came back from The World on Monday and decided to see The Legend of Jack Sparrow. It wasn't a long wait so I didn't feel that I wasted too much time. Guests were ushered into the attraction and the "show" began. With all the warnings for scary special effects, I watched with anticipation. As we "stood" there, the show began. I must admit that I was expecting much more....I thought the "show" was actually the pre-show. I was surprised and disappointed as after about 7 minutes, we were ushered out the door and into the sunlight of Hollywood Studios. Very disappointing and I would not waste my time if you have to wait more than 5 minutes...

I'd say that's a fair assessment. The camera technology they used for that is quite impressive, and I hope it makes it's way to other attractions. Also, the interplay between Jack Sparrow and the talking skull (voiced by James Arnold Taylor, who voices pretty much every character that's not Jack Sparrow in this attraction) is pretty funny.
