Legend of Jack Sparrow...what's the buzz?

Having seen what Musion Eyeliners can do at Universal's Disaster and Forbidden Journey preshows, I don't see why people are so impressed with the Depp projection in this attraction. Maybe I just stood at a bad angle. It would be less obviously a screen if he wasn't standing in front of a plain flat black background.

They should have taken the budget for this and put it into POTC and then maybe the fog projection and mermaids would stay working.

It is the single worst attraction in all of Orlando.
I don't know, I'm pretty sure Stitch's big mistake still beats it :P

I thought it was fun and I was impressed by how realistic Captain Jack was, (and it was fun watching my big sister who is a BIG Captain Jack and Johnny Depp fangirl watch the show) but I agree with others that it's not worth a huge wait

I'd say that's a fair assessment. The camera technology they used for that is quite impressive, and I hope it makes it's way to other attractions. Also, the interplay between Jack Sparrow and the talking skull (voiced by James Arnold Taylor, who voices pretty much every character that's not Jack Sparrow in this attraction) is pretty funny.

If they could take the technology and apply it to a TGMR refurb it could be totally awesome! Like you said the technology and clarity of the images is quite impressive and I hope to see them bring it to the table in the future on other refurbs as well as new attractions.

The problem with using it for TGMR is you'd either have to figure out a way to transfer the original film footage to the new system or get VERY convincing look-alikes as most of the actors from the original movies are either too old or dead.

The tech WOULD be good for doing a Doctor Who attraction in the UK pavilion at Epcot (pleaseohplease!).
