Leave a Legacy at Epcot

How do you feel about Leave a Legacy at EPCOT Center?

  • Keep it! It's interesting to see all the names and dates and to look for ours.

  • Plus it! Add some trees or something. It's nice, but far too barren and unwelcoming.

  • Scrap it! Tombstones belong at the Haunted Mansion, not EPCOT Center.

Keep in mind I have two in memorium of a lost family memeber who was a huge Disney fan.
It looks like the road blocks they set up at military bases and embassys in order to thwart car bombings. Time to move it elsewhere if possible and just remove in 2019.

I had one given to me as part of a "flex feature" when booking through WDW travel. They were fine for the celebrations but now they need to go. They also need to go because my picture is on there with a girl I was dating way back when. I haven't taken my wife to see that and never will. Knock 'em down and do something with that space. If they want to plus it, I will refer to my old standby of advising them to just add strobes. It is already not moving, so nothing more would need to be done. But seriously, get rid of them.

And restore the awesome prism, plus a good looking fountain!

If they are going to leave it, I wish they'd go back to selling more tiles...there's plenty of room on those walls!
You can't force people to buy the tiles and that is why it just died off. No one was buying especially when they got to see just how awful the tiles looked. You own mother wouldn't recognize you. Maybe they could have a buy one, get 10 free sale. But I doubt that would help. :D

Well, considering I can't get a brick, I'd buy one. How hard would it be to at least offer them?

How about selling more of them delays the joyful day that they can be hauled out of there.

True. Note, in my original post, I started it with "If" <grin>

What about pavers outside the other two parks? Or pavers that have been removed and shipped to their owners upon request that are in front of MK.

I would pay through the nose for something like this...

Why? You are already paying through the nose just to get IN the parks.

Because it's something I'd like to have. I think it's unique, and given my families history with visiting the parks spanning nearly 5 generations now (it started with Disneyland and my Great-Grandparents taking my Grandfather there, then he took my father, who in turn took me (as well as my Grandfather taking me), and now I take my kid), I would like to be able to point at a paver and say "this is 'home'".

My girlfriend and I bought ours during Christmas '04. Said girlfriend is now my wife and it's a good family moment every trip where we can show our kids. Ours has stood up pretty well over the years and we can clearly make it out even today. It could probably be re-imagineered and improved, but we still like them.
