Least favorite Resort you have stayed at?

I like how bright caribbean beach is, the only thing i disliked is that its so big but I requested the first stop on the bus route so I liked it. I wasnt all too happy with the service in All-Star Music though.

All Star Movies...broken bed like a 700 pound man layed on it and it bent in two kind of broken. It was desperately in need of a refurb when we stayed. Agreed...you get what you pay for, but all around...awful. Never again.

I love CBR...but we cruise all of the time because we love the caribbean. We usually request Jamaica. It's not too bad using the bridge. I had a hard time liking POR...WAY to far to get to anything (especially with a toddler..he is HEAVY!) and we were in one of the closer buildings to the dining & Ole Man Island. We drove most of the time to eat. I'm not a big fan of it.

The price is right for us at the moderate resorts. I just can't imagine we will ever be able to afford even a parking lot view room at a deluxe. So, I am afraid I will never be able to comment on them... C'est la vie!

I would say my least favorite so far would be Coronado Springs Resort. We waited longer for buses at CSR than we did at any of the value resorts or OKW. Plus the fact that if you want to eat in the food court you have pay a tip and you bus your own tables (at least we had to when we went).

Animal Kingdom Lodge. We got stuck in a room farthest away from any animals (we had a single vulture on a log), our bill was wrong (though it was corrected), and everyone around seemed to have a bit of a "well-to-do" attitude. It was just too big, noisy and seemed ridiculously overpriced for what we got, granted we normally spend most of our time at the parks.

On the other hand, we enjoyed every aspect of Port Orleans Riverside. Maybe we didn't like AKL as much because we really fell in love with POR.

The first time we went down we stayed at AS Sports and I hated it, only because the rooms were so depressingly dull, and it was sooooooo far away from anything.

We also stayed at CBR and I didn't care for it to much either. Again, our room was to far away from the car, the bus the food court. It was awful, but again... my fault.

We stayed at AS Music last Oct and loved it. We had two preferred rooms and it was great. They had just been redone so everything was nice & new.

I am looking forward to staying at POR the next time we go, whenever that may be. I will make sure to get a preferred room again. I think that this is key, for me anyway.

Coronado Springs Resort-

I thought the rooms were too small for a moderate resort and the food court too expensive for a moderate resort. Staying here was one of the main reasons that we started looking at DVC.

The least favorite resort would have to be Boardwalk Inn and Villas. Our first room was the last possible villa in the resort (we were closer to Swan and Dolphin's boat than ours). On a good note, I went back that night and talked to Justin at the front desk. He worked his magic to get us a villa 4 doors down from the main lobby. He is a gem at that resort!
The other part I did not care for was the transportation. It was very sparse via boat or bus, and I was honestly surprised at that. They really need specific buses for Beach and Yacht Club and Swan and Dolphin. It's just too many people cramming to get anywhere. Sure you can walk, but even that can be a hassle some days.
The size of the resort and the transportation were the 2 main negatives, otherwise, it is still a beautiful resort, but personally, I would rather stay somewhere else (like OKW or AKL).

CBR and GF. CBR just doesn't have enough of a resort feel for me, and I'm just not a big fan of the rooms at GF. They seem to me too much like a barbie dream home. Striped wallpaper, eww....

Animal Kingdom Lodge - absolute worst experience I have ever had at a Disney Resort. Management was rude - poor design - hated it top to bottom.

My vote also goes to CBR. Too much walking and boy I agree with what someone else stated -- cigarette butts everywhere. Hopefully that has changed with the no smoking rules.

It is great to see that it doesn't seem to be one isolated resort, AND that for many of the resorts that have negatives, it is another one's favorite. The great part of that is that many of these incidents may be isolated or unfortunate one-time incidents.

I'm also not suprised to see that the resorts with higher capacities (Contemporary, All Star, Pop, CBR and CSR) are the ones with the most issues.

Looks like CBR is in the lead...:ROFLOL::ROFLOL::ROFLOL:
Throw in my vote too! When I stayed at CBR we were at the farthest point from the food court (or at least it seemed so). Amongst other things, we usually get our money's worth with the refillable mugs but this trip it was a total waste of money due to the distance.

Had to vote for CBR too. It wasn't bad, it just wasn't great. There's something great about all the other moderates (Coronado: pool, POFQ&POR: Atmosphere, boat access, etc). CBR is was really underwhelming.

I voted YC and I expect to be the only one. We jut had a miserable time there. We were very frustrated by the transportation both boats (few and far between) and buses (way too many resorts share them). We didn't care for the pool, not a fan of all the sand. It was very hard to get a quick snack or drink. Now we love the area and visit it on each trip, we just won't stay in any of those resorts again.

I stayed at CBR a few years back and did not like it. I prefer the Pop Century over it. I did not feel like it was much of an upgrade.

I'm really glad to hear this. I'm staying at Pop for the first time every in a month or so and was kinda worried cause we DID stay in CBR on our last visit and really enjoyed it!!
