Le Cellier going signature for dinner only

They need at least a 16oz porterhouse with garlic butter, a decent filet with cabernet reduction and cremini mushrooms, a good risotto, some smoked duck and salmon, but focus on great steaks with great toppings, not the crap they serve now. offer at least a decent center cut new york 28 day aged strip steak for that money with roasted fingerling potatoes under a gorgonzola cream sauce with grilled asparagus. Disney has nothing on cleveland when it comes to steaks. Kona has a better steak than LC!

We love the place.

Wish I could say this would stop me from going but I gotta have that Mushroom Risotto and Filet Mignon!!

I agree with your tastebuds, but I'd say our family is done with Le Cellier if it goes to signature status. Haven't wasted two credits on one meal much, but very little seems worth signature except dinner shows (Hoop-Dee-Doo, e.g.), in my mind, and even then it's a stretch.

I used two credits at California Grill last year... But, I never ate there and decided to take the plunge... Glad I did.. California Grill was yummy!!!!

The menu is not 2-credit worthy. Improve the menu before charging 2 credits! While they're at it, improve the menu at Yachtsman's, too. It's average for a steakhouse, and nowhere near worthy of 2 credits.

FWIW, I just changed out dinner ressie in Feb to a lunch ressie. ;) Also, we're going to run some numbers for a TiW card, since we'll use it for 2 trips between November and February.

The only real plus I can coming from this would be if they enforce the dress code. Nothing I hate worse than seeing a middle aged man in a too big tank top..might make him comfortable..but not me.

Does Brown Derby enforce a dress code??? Last year I saw people in tee shirts dining there... I don't think it is feasible though to enforce dress codes in restaurants inside theme parks...

We haven't been to BD since they went 2 credits...but I doubt they do enforce the dress code, nor do I expect LC to enforce it either. But I can dream. That is the one thing I hate about the buses at the end of the night. I would give my seat up in a heart beat before sitting with some strangers armpit in my face! lol

When we had lunch at LC there were men wearing hats, etc., I know its a theme park restaurant and most people aren't going to go back to the resort to freshen up before dining.

I know it is tough to reconcile using two credits.

The only meal I've had that was worth it was the Surf and Turf at Narcoossee's I would have blown 3 credits on that if they asked me!!

Not old, just vintage.
We ate there Saturday afternoon for lunch. It was definitely one of our best meals of the trip but it reconfirmed my notion that it isn't anywhere near worth 2 credits. We used my TiW card and I think it came out to a decent value for a theme park meal. The atmosphere, menu, and service as it currently stands is not worthy of 2 credits. Not even close. For 2 credits I want someone hovering over me filling my drink glass, pulling out my chair for me, folding my napkin if I get up, significantly upgraded entree choices, and maybe special selections made by the chef.

I have never been able to get an ADR here. I still want to try it one of these days and even though it costs 2 dining credits soon It wont effect me since I never do the dining plan.

This is true, but I still have concerns. We didn't do the plan either. My concern is that they will bump the pricing to 'justify' the two credit charge. Right now the price point wasn't worth the service or quality of the food. I am hopeful that the two credit change will get the food and service back to where it used to be.
