I was making ADR for our 14 day Dec trip, Le Cell is already booked for dinner on every day .
It never used to be this way, for the past 2 years things have gotten progressively worse. You can hardly walk up and get a table anymore. Do you think it is because of free dinning?

Uh, what would free dining have to do with your December trip? Free dining takes place in September.

If you are trying to blame it on the dining plan itself, then yes, probably. Disney wasn't selling out their restaurants, now they are always full. Makes sense to me.

It is odd that you couldn't find any night, though. Were you trying to get a specific time? You should keep trying, things do open up. But again, no, free dining has nothing to do with it.

No available dinner times at all from Dec 7th-20th. They were completely open for lunch though. I will keep calling. I didn't know free dinning took place in Sept only, thanks for the info.

Wow, crazy. That is very surprising, as that is a slower time at WDW. I really suggest calling back once a week or so and checking it out.

If you really want to eat there and can't get dinner, I can vouch that lunch is just as good (and cheaper to boot!). Their burger is to die for!

Good luck, and keep us posted!

Wow...it looks like you need to take advantage of another thread: Post your cancelled Dec dinner reservations.
Keep trying there may be a cancellation. Le Cellier is very popular though.

It's not only just because of the dining plan that you can't get an ADR, it's because some people abuse the system by calling and making reservations for 2 differant times so they have a choice of when they want to eat and then cancel the 2nd one at the last minute.

The dining plan stinks as far as I'm concerned. They have raised prices, shrunk the portions, and lessoned menu choices. Now the people who choose not to use the plan get less choices for more $$$. That is IF they can even get into a full service restaurant in the first place. It's a good thing we don't mind burgers and fries. If it weren't for counter service, my wife and I would starve whlie on vacation these days.

Now this is weird, I just booked a stay from Dec 9- Dec 22.

I got LeCellier on the 10th at 5 and 7:30, the 14th at 6 and 8, and the 19th at 4:30 and 8.

Let me know when you are going down and I'll hook you up:wave:

Hey, I make 2 reservations all the time, sometimes at 2 different restaurants, its my vacation and I paid for it, and when Disney says I cannot do this, the I won't, until then, its fair game.

We are going November 25 thru Dec 1 and I made my ADR for Le Cellier without a hitch. I believe I was lucky. I do feel it is unfair when persons double book dining reservations. I am all for getting what you want but, do you need it twice? Then again, until Disney says you can't do it anymore I guess it's fair game.

It may also be because of the Candlelight Processional. LeCellier has a lot of spots set aside for people eating on the dinner package for the show. When we were there last year, I think just about everyone in the restaurant was there as part of the package deal.

I think you were right the first time.
