I don't seem to remember being "called", on anything, I'm only stating the facts on how I do Disney, and if Disney does not seem to have a problem with it, I don't know why you should? If I remeber correctly, its Disney's system, not yours...

My group is, as of right now, 60 people, with several of them arriving at different times all week. If your there, stop by and say Hi, just look for the group with blue tee-shirts.

I've been doing it for over three years now, without a single ADR getting dismissed. So the first time it happens to me, I'll let you know.:ROFLOL: As for my karma, my job as a police officer balances that out.

Well, hopefully I taught you all a lesson in Disney planning. First course is on me, the lesson that is, I tend to keep my ADR's:p

Honestly, I think you take yourself way to seriously. Smile once in a while, and book early, some people live for making ADR's, and taking out your anger on me does nothing but make you lose another ADR to someone else, possibly me:king:
Whatever...your proud of yourself...get it

That's reassuring.

Yes, they will take a debit card.

My issue with not wanting to do so is simply time. It's going to be SUCH a pain in the behind to have to spit out a credit card number every time you make a ressie, wait for the confirmation, etc.

If you call often for ADR's, you know that the questions asked can vary wildly. Sometimes you get asked for your phone number once, sometimes the same CM will ask you three or four times in the same conversation. This is because the computer screen in front of them keeps changing as they go through the ressie process, and the smart CM's write your phone number/info down on a piece of paper in front of them to refer to throughout the process. These are the great CM's that get your call done quickly. They can't, and shouldn't, do that with credit card/debit card numbers.

They won't be able to do that when they go to CC booking. As Merf pointed out, besides Cindys, Norway, and the dinner shows, almost all holiday bookings already require it. It's only a matter of time before all meals will require it and we all pay with our extra time and giving out our precious card numbers to even more people. For every single ressie.

That's the biggest issue for me - I just don't want to be bothered. I love that Disney gives us the flexibility they do. You know, I'm not perfect - I've missed an ADR before by accident, or not being able to get there on time. And I think it's great that Disney "forgives" us for it. It's such a shame that the people that can't handle that and have to squeeze every last bit of good will out of the situation and just book meals they have no intention of actually using.

It's the same reason they have had to make many changes at WDW. Look at the tightening up of hotel ressies over the last few years - people came up with all kinds of "tricks" to get around the system, and the system had to change. I know it's just human nature to want to maximize your advantage, but I guess some of us just draw the line when it affects others, no matter if Disney "allows" it or not. The "if I can get away with it, screw everyone else" attitude.

Disney does need to make some adjustments to dining esp. for the Grand Gatherings. We are going in August with 36+ people now and for many of our sit downs (we are doing the dining plan) I had to call individual restaurants and their direct number to arrange dining and they only do it at certain hours. For example: Cinderellas, Sci-Fi, Tony's, LTT, Ohana's and many others will only sit groups over 23+ between 4-515pm. Also you cannot call Disney Dining's number or the Grand Gathering numbers to make these dining reservations. The CM's at those numbers will give you the direct numbers to call. Luckily I had Pam doing most of our Girl Scout dining reservations, and she got me all of the direct numbers. Because this meant I had to call each restaurant, secure adrs for dates and then try the next restaurant. It was a real pain in the neck. Say Ohana's could seat us on Tues OR Thus, I pick Tues, then I call LTT well, they could only seat us on Tues so I take that, then call Ohana's back and change to the Thurs.

Disney promotes the whole GG experience but if you take 23+ people over the age of 3 it gets to be quite a headache! (mostly for Pam! Thanks so much!)
