Laugh Floor Possible Opening

When the imagineer asked if people would expect to see a completely different version of the show if they came back...nearly everyone said yes...
You misunderstood the question. That question refers to how people understand the interaction in the show. They want to know if the show should be entirely diffrent from show to show, or just tiny variations.

Servo, you're the only one who keeps insisting that the show is amazing and great - and strangely enough, seems to know details about the imagineers questions from shows you supposedly weren't at.

Why not just admit you work in some way related to the attraction and don't want to see it fail?

What? I've never said that! I've never said that there's a "good version" and "bad version". I mean, that quote has nothing to do with what your're saying.
If you people would rather believe your....um...."gut feeling" that you claim that It's the worst thing everblahblahblah, go ahead but here are the REAL facts, which IMHO are much better than your "true facts" how that about three people said that it wasn't funny and didn't have a detailed queue. (I thought those were opinons, but I guess I don't know better...) Here's a list of crowd reactions from all of my previews of the shows I've seen. I've tried to do it more then once every week to give updates on crowd feedback here, but I quickly found out the only feedback alot of you will take is "IT WAS THE WORST THING EVER!" and "Man, that stitch ride is awful!" (You guys tend to drift over there alot!)

First show-Early Jan.07
First draft of script, animation very choppy, humor ok, but very slow.
very bad- under about ten people.
not very good-around twenty people
alright- most of the theatre.
very good- around twenty people.
great- about five or six people.
My reaction. Thought waiting area and theatre were alright, but show needed alot of work.

Next show-Mid Jan.07
Animation was better, but still choppy.Lots of great new acts. This was after the announcement of it being delayed. Show was MUCH better, and very funny.
very bad-about five people
not very good-about ten people
alright-around ten people
very good-most of theatre
great-more then twenty people
Other show same day- WDI preview, no survey at end of show, but crowd seemed to enjoy the show very much.

Mid Jan.07 shows afterward-
Animation gets better, Pre-show lighting redone to be softer, and the lighting becomes timed with the pre-show. Text service off and on. They continue getting good reaction from last show I mentioned, but try new scripts at same time to compare. Crowd's only real gripe was that there was not enough Roz.
very bad-always under five people
not very good-under five people
alright-always around twenty people.
very good- above 100 people
great-most of the theatre

Last show seen-Feb. 07
Animation now perfect, WDI continues to try new things, and add things outside and inside the building.
very bad- one person. (Who was a little kid, this got alot of laughs from the crowd as well as from the Imagineer.)
not very good- about for people towards the front of the theatre.
alright- under ten people
very good-above 100 people
great-most of theatre

That's what I've seen. You can say that the crowd was being nice, but what can you do? Read they're minds? The Imagineers always ask to be honest, and don't tell the crowd they're getting fastpasses until after the survey. So that's the most honest account of what the general guests are thinking of the show in it's current state. Take it or leave it, but that's how it is. Oh, and you need to work on your witty comments, beacuse that one was awful.

awful.

You really take this attraction personally, don't you?

You said the show's been greatly improved in the past few weeks, and that most haven't seen the improved version (except -SIR- who offers a slightly bleaker picture of the "improved version"). All I said was that I hope you're right because if this thing opens and ends up tanking, you're going to have a hard time defending yourself. And I said it in jest. Hence the wave.

Take a breath. Say it with me. "I'm good enough, I'm smart enough, and gosh darn it, people LIKE me!!"

No, I am in no way related to the project. And I know details about that, because they ask the same questions pretty much every show. And as I've said, I LOVED Timekeeper, and didn't really care for the idea when I first heard it. I just hate to see people bashing it, when the show is changing on a daily basis. They did exactly what we Disney fans would've wanted them to do. Work on it. And they are working on it! They're trying everything they could think of to make the best show they can. Yet everyone is dooming it already. That's not fair to the people working day and night to give everyone a great show.

I agree with this sentiment. I think its really nice that they're trying out different things since its a comedy show. I still think this show has a chance to be good.

I don't know if anyone on the boards has ever tried stand up, but its hard. Its even harder if you can't change in the middle of the show when you sense your not in sync with your audience. I wonder if WDI could have made things easier on themselves by hiring professional comedians to try out different routines. Of course, it would have been a little odd. "Now, Mr. Seinfeld we want you to pretend like you're a creature from Monsters Inc. doing comedy for a human audience. GO!" Of course, if they used actual famous comedians the monsters could have been cartoony carciatures of the comedians and that would have been amusing for some big people. I don't know. Maybe they did something like this (try out material that came from comedians).

I love this idea- that would be so cool! Maybe even include Robin Williams as a tribute...

Liar, liar, pants on fire.

You did the same exact thing when Everest was opening and there was a leaked video during the CM previews. You felt "betrayed."

Of particular interest:

It's not that I don't want to know about the ride. My brother works at Everest and I know how hard them and WDI has been working to keep it a seceret so you guys would enjoy it more when you got there. And they be nice, and let this Cast member on(there were no familes or guests, only Cast Members on this day.) Telling him, and everyone coming in at the gate, no videos or photos and such, they all agreed, and this guy lies to get his site more hits.

Ah, I'm 16. I'm not an imagineer. (I'm glad you think I would I be. ) But you know what, ok. I'm done. Why don't you guys do the work, go down there and see it, then talk to the imagineers there. (They invite you to talk to them after the show.) And I invite you (or anyone else here) to put your money where your mouth is, and give them better ideas. That's why there doing this. If you have ANY complaints about the show, go down there and talk to them. They're looking for feedback. Why don't you come up with jokes or new scripts and give it to them. Who knows? They might like your ideas. If you have ANY complaints or suggestions on how to do it better, now's your chance to talk to them in person. Because all I've done is give you guys information, and try to defend them, and I'm done. I guess if you do LIKE something that hasn't opened yet, you're not welcome to share vaild points in an argument, because I must have something to do with it. Again, if you think I'm wrong, go down there and ask the imagineers how it's doing. Why, If you can't make it down here, I'll print out whatever you want to say to them about what they're doing here, and I'll give it to them for you when I next see the show. Or are you going to just sit back and complain about whatever they do? Now's your chance...

No "I was wrong, sorry"? Anyways, enough is enough, and I'm sorry if I've come across as a jerk. I think we should all agree to stop talking about it strongly either way until It's open for real. Then we'll start the debate on a much better foot. Agreed?

I must admit,it's not sounding too good based on all I have heard but I am trying to be optimistic and assume that the imagineers are listening to our feedback and are doing all they can to make this a great attraction. I am a strong believer in not judging something until I have experienced it so I will whithhold judgement until we get to see it in April(hopefully). I love Monsters Inc. and I am holding out hope that this attraction will do it justice. Let's try to be positive folks,we have seen the imagineers do some amazing things so why can't we believe that they can turn this thing around?

Why should we believe you're sixteen? You havn't specified your age in your signature. Besides, even if you are sixteen, you did state in merf's quote that your brother works for Disney and its possible he is the one who has something to do with this attraction.

There. That's me in front of Everest in January of last year. (Note that I couldn't have turned into a 40 year old Imagineer who's so proud of his project that he's willing to lie about his age, in one years time.) My brother is also not involved in the project. (He hasn't even seen it yet.) I'm sure you'll now claim that I'm hiding aliens and UFOs in my garage now, right? Do I need to provide any of you with DNA or fingerprint information?

Just out of curiosity...you say you're 16 and obviously a big fan of Mystery Science Theatre 3000.

What I find interesting is that this show went off the air in 1996 when you were 5 years old!
Yea, weird huh? I grew up watching MST3K the movie and other episodes on scratchy tapes. Now I have a full collection of DVDs and I'm a huge fan. Any other information I need to PROVE that I am me. I'm rolling on the floor laughing right now that you guys actully believe I'm some sort of Imagineer who has a pro-Laugh Floor agenda and would be willing to lie about his age to prove a point. You guys didn't think this through, did you?
But now that I've double-posted I bet you're thinking I might be trying to hide something too much...
I may be a WDI-spy...

That's Ok, I've been accused of being a spy also.

I, for one, will take your word on your age.

I think that you're defense of the attraction is admirable as you are standing up for something that you believe to be a quality product.

I was reading some reports on Monsters Inc from other boards...most of them are very negative.

I'm not liking the way this is turning out...

Try not to let others peoples negativity influence your opinion before you have actually experienced the attraction.

There are alot of so-called Disney fans that just like to stir the muck.

Thank you. And to Basas and all others here that worry about the the attraction, consider this...If the person or persons that posted a long, bad review of the show, Why did they wait until getting on a forum to give feedback on the ride? Why didn't they just fill out the paper hard-copy surveys at the end of the show? Not trying to be mean, but something to consider.
