Laugh Floor Possible Opening

Yea, weird huh? I grew up watching MST3K the movie and other episodes on scratchy tapes. Now I have a full collection of DVDs and I'm a huge fan. Any other information I need to PROVE that I am me. I'm rolling on the floor laughing right now that you guys actully believe I'm some sort of Imagineer who has a pro-Laugh Floor agenda and would be willing to lie about his age to prove a point. You guys didn't think this through, did you?
But now that I've double-posted I bet you're thinking I might be trying to hide something too much...
I may be a WDI-spy...

Just out of laziness, since I'm logged on here and too lazy to do research on my own - on which DVD is "Manos Hands of Fate?" The episode of MST that appears on just slays me.

I was at the Magic Kingdom on Friday and saw the 3:30 show. I must say that I was VERY IMPRESSED! I was going in there expecting nothing to be good but I was defiantly wrong. From the very moment you walk into the building it was very well themed and set up a very clear story. I was also already amused at the jokes in the preshow before I even entered the theater. Once in the theater I was again impressed by the themeing of my surroundings. The show I watch had only a few glitches but over all went very smoothly. I enjoyed all the characters who each had something different to offer. My one and only complaint about the show is the abrupt ending. If I had to rate this attraction under its current state I would give it an 8 out of 10.

All I ask all of you is that you make your own judgements! Don't fall into the trap of "Oh my friend said it was bad so it must be bad!" Don't spread judgement of an attraction you have not experienced IN PERSON. See the show live and in person. Only then do you have the RIGHT to judge!

You can get it on a single disc for pretty cheap if you look around stores and online. Here's it's listing on Amazon...

EPCOTServo - just in case you missed it whilst I was distracting with a MST question - a good review of MILF came in!

Yes. I'm glad you enjoyed the show disnyfan89! I too really enjoy the waiting area. (And I really enjoy the snappy Monsters Inc. lounge music too! )
And ASJHLJ, I'd be glad to answer any other MST questions you may have, as I'm waiting for Imagineer Boy and MouserMerf to admit they jumped the gun on the whole, "I'm not who I say I am" issue!

It really is a good show! I feel sorry for those who can't look with their own eyes.

i don't think he is an imagineer i just think he is a nerdy disney fan

So....you're in the "incredibly cool" Disney fan grouping? In all seriousness, nerdy is not necessarily a bad thing. To me, if you're nerdy about something it usually implies that you're a knowledgeable expert. On this particular site, almost all of us are nerdy Disney fans. That's why we have fun discussions about MILF, the wand, DVC, and other crap that would have many people classify us as insane.

Thank you! Your lack of respect and lack of punctuation makes you not a bit nerdy at all. (If you ment that in a good way, sorry. It's just really hard to tell where you're coming from without punctuation.) I'm not a Disney nerd. I'm a geek. There's a big diffrence. ( And how are we all not disney nerds again?) Oh, and I'm still waiting for Imagineerboy to admit that he jumped the shark.

Ok Starwood, here it is. (Keep in mind in may not happen. You just have to come back on another day and try again.)
-Show up on a weekday. They don't do it on weekends.
-Wait around the Laugh Floor from ten to five o' clock.
-When they're doing a preview they'll open up one of the doors
-Ask one of the cast members if this is a preview, and if I can attend nicely.
-go on in and enjoy the show!
-Always keep in mind that this is not set in stone, and can (and will) change by the minute. These guidelines are just your best chances.
-remember to stay close! try and stay in sight of the silver doors as much as you can.
There you go! Good luck!

Thanks Epcotservo!

Do you have any idea if it will be under previews or soft openings when I'm there?

Thanks again!
When will you be there? As stated in this thread, it may have a big opening after May 25th, but I think we should be seeing bigger previews around March. I can't back that up, but that's just when I think they should be ready to keep it open longer.

Lets not focus on Epcotservo anymore please... Back to the topic at hand...

The show itself hasn't gotten great reviews from most fronts, but from those it has, the reviews has been wholey positive. About two weeks ago, I told one of my friends in Imagineering about some of the flaws I forsaw in the Laugh Floor. These included lack of story, reliance on the Living Character aspect, lack of special effects and integrated show room usage. I know that my comments were taken in regards, but again, I doubt the first public iteration of the show will include the above changes. I forsee the first public opening to be a moderate failure (let me finish), but the show will recieve plenty of tweaks over time in a fashion very much like Stitch and Alien Encounter. The only way to fix this show will be to get a full audience reaction with the full product, not just a preview. I myself see this attraction lasting all of three to five years at max before being changed out, but again, this is just me.

Intergrated show room usage? What the sam scratch is integrated show room usage? I'm big into Imagineering and programing and engineering terms and stuff, and I've never heard that anywhere. Please explain?
Anyhoo, what you forsaw happening is partly right. It's right in that it already happened. They're doing the tweaks now. And what everyone needs to remember is that if something is bad, and WDI and the comedy team know it, and it will change. They're lucky to have a ride system that can be changed in a matter of minutes. (I know, I said I'd stop defending it, but I just wanted to get that out there.)

April 22-28th

anyone know when DVC previews should start?

I don't see why people are being so negative about the attraction, I was lucky enough to see an opening durring my recent nine days at WDW, and I thought it was awesome and really funny. And the majority of the people in the theater I was in thought it was great, too.

Don't knock it 'till ya try it!

I'm a Disney fanatic. You know it, I know it, my family knows it, my friends know it, heck, CM's at WDW know it!..and that's exactly why I feel at home here. :) ..and that's why I feel so awkward in Hot Topic.. ^^;
