Got these photos from yesterday of the draining progress.

I checked it out yesterday and the water is now almost totally gone. They've obviously been scrubbing the sides down every night because the exposed concrete is clean as a whistle. It's supposed to be like this for six months.

It's not very pretty, but for Disney fans it's a fascinating look into the infrastructure of a park. And I had no idea that lagoon was so DEEP!

I swam in that in June and MAN! When I showered I was REALLY FILTHY! It certainly needs it!

Thanks for the picture. I'll be there in 4.5 months. My Disney geek side wants to see the lagoon drained but my 1st time to DL side wants to see the park as intended.............

We'll be there very soon. Would have been nice to see the water but I think I'll be too busy to feel any real disappointment.

The water is now gone from the lagoon, and they have started installing parts for the WoC.

Disney's World of Color. It's a massive new lagoon show debuting at Disney's California Adventure in 2010.

Here's official artwork released. The Blue Sky Cellar Preview Center has more artwork available, and models of the new viewing area being constructed for it.
