There is no plan for the land to open until next year.
Actually, according to a new report, Phase 1 will open by Christmas, with the ride opening in Spring/Summer 2010.

That is more like it. Saying that the ride will be delayed past Christmas of 2010 is inaccurate at this point. I'm not saying that it couldn't end up there but as of this time we expect to open the ride by summer of 2010, possibly sooner.Actually, according to a new report, Phase 1 will open by Christmas, with the ride opening in Spring/Summer 2010.

Let us pray that the spirit of Test Track will be cast out of this ride in the name of all that is good and holy! Seriously I'm seeing some very similar mistakes and head sand burying that is akin to what happened at Test Track.Sounds good. I'm rooting for you guys, whylightbulb!
Hey guys...little update...
The official official opening has been slated for Spring 2010.
This article does a good job of breaking down what we can expect to see: http://blogs.orlandosentinel.com/fe...ning-date-universal-islands-of-adventure.html

I saw some of the newest pics of the castle and it look tiny so far.
Per the New Your Time article Hogwart's will be about 150 feet tall which is 39' shorter than Cinderella's Castle.Err.... what? They're either really good at forced perspective, or that thing is easily taller than Cinderella Castle. The central turret is friggin' huge.
Nope not tiny but still not the biggest Castle in central Florida.Okay, so it's huge looking. Either way, it's definitely not tiny.
