That's going to add a much needed '3rd wall' to that space.

Agreed, while just another restaurant, it definitely adds a lot to a pavilion that was severely lacking from the start. Now if they can just add an italian exotic car museum :drevil:

Oooooh. Pretty.

I know it's far back in the Plaza...but IllumiNations? :D Will it be lit up?

very good question, would be great if it were incorporated but probably wont be. Norway never paid for lights to be added to their pavilion (gosh it would have been stunning though), and I have a feeling Patina nor Disney is going to pay extra for lights on this one. But, who knows.

It probably is too far back anyway. I wonder about hight, though.

Norway REALLY needs to be lit. Sticks out horribly in RoE. Morocco needs to have lights pointed at it at least. Or have something aimed at it (lasers?) to make it look lit up. It hurts the show, too.

Morocco does not have lights because of religious beliefs regarding the buildings.

True. And Norway use to be beautifully lit at night, not the same as illumination lights of course, but in general all the eves and everything were lit. Now its practically dark and barely has any lighting left at all. Its a shame. If you have any of the older official disney world souvineer table books, they have a picture of it in there.

Oh, I know. It can't have lights attached, apparently, but like I said, why not aim something at it? Outlining it in a laser would work.

And why does the religious belief apply here in the first place? Not to knock it, or EPCOT in anyway...the building is a fake.

The building was designed by the King of Morocco's personal architect, and funded by the King of Morocco...with that in mind, I'm sure Disney was very careful not to offend anyone.

Ahhhhhhhhhhahah. :lookaroun

So...Nevermind.

Never heard that...where did you?

They could do lasers, though...they already shine a spotlight on it.

Just got back from Epcot. Here are a few updated pictures of the scrim in front of the new pizzeria:

Nice scrim. Though it would be a nice surprise—not to mention homage to the birthplace of pizza, the product being sold in the new building—to see a Vesuvius looming in the distance over the Tuscan horizon, despite the geographical inaccuracies that such a placement would engender. :lookaroun

Hm, unfortunately, that's not the name of the pizzeria, just a small celebratory event at Tutto Italia.

But I'm liking that Tuscan rolling hills scrim. Gotta give props for creativity. :)

I agree. The scrim gives the pavilion a lot more depth. They should have always had something like that back there.

If things had gone according to plan, we would have a lovely Colosseum back there housing a boat ride. :lookaroun

But you're right, the area needed some kind of depth and the pizzeria should go a long way toward fufilling that need. :)
