Ladies! make up question

thinking of doing another trip this August, when of course it will be Africa, surface of the sun hot. Do you guys do makeup in the parks when it's this hot.
I've done it before but by the end of 3 hours, I've wiped most of it off.
Any good foundation or powder tips? brands that you think work well.

I am blessed in that I have very "normal" skin so I don't necessarily need any thing that is for sensitive skin.

I used to be a slave to makeup, wearing it EVERYWHERE (like, even grocery shopping)! I've not worn makeup to Disney in ages, which has helped me get used to not wearing it in "real life." I usually put on sunscreen and face powder (otherwise my face is a grease trap), waterproof mascara and brows. Throw a chapstick in my pocket and I'm out the door.

*Not bashing anyone who wears makeup all the time; just noting that I don't anymore.

I like a foundation primer that has spf in it, makes my skin soft! I'll usually use a tinted moisturizer for some coverage, and then a lip gloss or lip stain. If I'm feeling brave, I'll use eyeshadow as an eyeliner (it doesn't bleed as much), and skip the mascara. I'd love to see what you choose and how it looks! Have fun!
*I just saw where you asked for recommendations. Sorry, I scan stuff a lot and if I don't read carefully, I'll miss things!
For the primer, I like Mary Kay- because it doesn't smell like sunscreen, you don't need much, and it isn't greasy. Other than that, I'm kinda testing stuff out right now, so I don't have a go-to brand for anything else. (:

I wear the same foundation(s) I always wear. Wet n' Wild Photofocus is a good inexpensive one (my face moisturizer has SPF so I don't need one in my makeup). I have combo/oily skin so am used to trying not to be shiny. I'm with those of you who don't want to be asked if I'm feeling ok (when I skip makeup) lol. And unless I'm going to the beach, I'm wearing makeup - especially w lots of pics being taken. Just get a decent face powder if you don't already use one. I throw a small compact in my mini backpack if I really feel like I need to de-shine during the day, haha. Do what works for you - some people skip the makeup, some don't :)

Moisturizing sunblock and earrings only unless I’m feeling froggy, in which case I add (waterproof) mascara. After all, I’m going to get soaked anyway by either a ride of afternoon shower. Either is appreciated and oh so much fun! 😉😁

What I'm doing at Disney depends on the type of makeup I bring. For everyday park going, I used to bring a tinted moisturizer without sunscreen. I like to put a lot of sunscreen on my face, but not a lot of tinted moisturizer. I also bring a cream stick blush. If we are going to a signature, I'll also bring nude eyeshadow and mascara.

I'm now using LimeLight foundation. It doesn't move after I put it on and it doesn't sweat off or feel cakey. I use it year-round. I live in GA, so I'm used to the heat and humidity.

I use bare minerals tinted moisturizer with SPF 30 and eyeliner + mascara. I'll use a setting spray with SPF in it as well.

I usually stick to strictly eye makeup when it’s so hot out. you can blot your face, neck, etc if you get a little moisture without wiping off all of your makeup with it.
if you are really intent on wearing a foundation though, I like Nars natural radiant longwear. i dance and have made it through plenty of performances with the stuff on (however a full Disney day might take a little more of a number on it)

Why wear make up to Disney World
lol,
Oh Dave, silly man. ;) lol I totally admit it's probably a little bit of vanity in it but I think I look a bit "haggard" without some makeup.
Now i was never a full face gal but especially as i age I like a little coverage on my face.

ok ladies thanks. I've never been a huge lipstick person so I've always had a lip gloss with me at the world . I'll look into the setting spray

I havent been to the world in a few years (:bawling:) but if I absolutely have to wear foundation when its hot out I dab my face with powder, apply foundation with a stippling brush or beauty blender (important to dab it on so it doesnt smudge the first powder layer), then apply another layer of powder and maybe setting spray. That will not budge even when its humid and sweaty! I usually just go for a cc cream and waterproof mascara though.

I only wear powder. Since Clinique stopped making my glow powder, I either mix a little bronzer with their regular loose powder or use Dior loose powder. (Depends on how brown I am and how many freckles have popped out lol) I carry it with me to reapply when I sweat it off. I can’t stand a shiny nose. I put my Clinique quickliner on, and it stays put all day. That a touch of mascara and lipgloss. I don’t leave the house without lipgloss. :D

Sadly (maybe pathetically), I don't wear makeup at all. In fact, I don't even own makeup. Before someone asks, I am a female. So, I am no help, but would think it would be very uncomfortable in the heat as well it would get on your mask, right?

It's interesting that this thread got bumped at this time from 2 years ago.
With the mask wearing it's a whole new ball game. I've seen tons of women who are obviously wearing foundation. blush etc. and it ends up all over their mask. (Not sure how it ends up on the outside but it does)!
I try to put some mascara on, a little under eye stuff, but realize wearing a mask all day it's useless for anything else.
