no...you are exactly right. It is the administratation and their reliablity on those good test scores. And I don't think that's fair. But, that's the only "real" way I guess to decide to hand out money...but they still shouldn't be "slave driving" these kids to study. But they still shouldn't be pressing our kids to extremes

My brother went to a private school for a while b/c my mom didn't like the school that we were going to. There was a teacher that was so hard on him, he actually developed an ulcer. AN ULCER! He was in 3rd grade. Kids shouldn't be getting ulcers when they are that young b/c of something like that.

I don't blame your girls in the slightest for being too tired to do their homework after grueling over work all day. That would be like us, working a full day and then coming home and have 4 hours of additional work to do. I know some people have to do that...but the majority don't. So why do our children have to?
Oh my goodness, I had a horrible 3rd grade year, too!
I had an AWFUL teacher, I hated every moment that I was in his class.
He wouldn't teach us anything, and then would give us these bullcrap worksheets that were supposed to be what we had learned, but we didn't. I remember coming home crying because I hated him so much.

Thanks Guys (Gals). I'll make it through. Just wont be as easy as it could be.
I haven't exactly lost my job, still waiting for work to call and say you can't accomplish the task because of the injury so you can't come back to work. And since we are not responsible for your injuries, we wont keep you on as an employee.
I'm more worried about George and his stress level.
I'll start looking for work on Monday since I can't free myself up from homework.

Yay for football! :D

Must be something about 3rd grade...b/c if I remember correctly, my teacher was kind of hard too, but not extremely. Just normal.

I've had mostly good teachers throughout the years, hence why I want to be a teacher.
But, I hated my third grade teacher, and I hated my 8th grade science teacher, and my 9th grade Foods teacher. That's about it. Oh, and my 5th-8th grade gym teacher. Can we say WEIRDO?

My youngest has more homework than the other 2 that is in middle school.:zipit:

Sorry to start off on a sour note, but I lost my job today.

The IME (Independent Medical Examineer) decided that my injury was not due to work related and that this was pre-existing and I am responsible for getting it repaired.
Well, I guess there goes my trip this weekend and next.

Oh no that isn't right. Big Hugs ((())))

I just got back form McD's. I ordered a Casear salad with crispy chicken. They charged me for something else and then got my order wrong. They couldn't get it right. It took them 15 minutes to get it right. duh!! They gave me a free lg. Dr Pepper for the problem. yippy
