We always had that problem with the pastor's oldest. She never ate her lunch, or at most would eat a dessert. If it dosn't change, youmight want to ask if an aide can go to the cafeteria early withhim, get his lunch out in front of him, and maybe sit him at a smaller table with just a few kids. Processing all that is really difficult for an autistic child.
processing all that is difficult for any child...but I would assume autism makes it a lot tougher.

I hope it gets better, but if it doesn't improve, you just might want to go watch.

There are two aides that accompany the special needs kindergartners (4 kids - all boys), and they help with opening lunch, opening baggies, etc. I think they sit at a first grade table. Like I said, I'll give it some time. I try to take an after school snack and some water with me when I or DH pick the kids up, as Joel is first, then we have to wait for Abby to come back to the building from her TAG class. And they do have a snack in the classroom about 2 p.m.

Sounds like they're keeping an eye out then. He'll adjust I'm sure.

I hope so... this whole BF thing has me exhausted...

How have you been? I feel so out of touch around here!
I've been OK - it's been a long week - DS leaves for college Thursday. Both he and his sister will be back in 2 weeks though so I'm just keeping that in the back of my mind.

How are all the cats doing with the baby?

I go back to school in 8 days. I'm going shopping with my mom tomorrow, and book shopping on Sat.:(

And if you ever need a babysitter, I am very available.:lookaroun

School! Book shopping isn't fun, but clothes shopping is!

Ooh! Ooh! Whatcha doing this weekend? :lookaroun

College! I can't imagine! I'm having a hard time when my princess is in the other room...:lookaroun

We shipped the cats off to my mom's. We'll be bringing them back soon though, now that I'm getting back into a routine.
