Kiss Goodnight

Hi!

Is there a schedule of when the Kiss Goodnight would be in May? We have always wanted to catch it, and want to see it while we don't have our DD with us.

Thanks and sorry if this has been asked before (I couldn't find it on the mobile search)!!!

Kiss goodnight schedule isn't published, and if you ask 2/3 of the CM, they wouldn't have a clue what you were talking about.

Generally, Kiss begins 1/2 hour to 40 min. after park close, and then is repeated at least twice on the half hour after that.

So if the park closes at 10:00, 10:40, 11:00 and 11:30

The schedule is not published. However, if you ask a suit CM they will check on for you.

It is a magical, magical experience. On your last night, however, it will make you bawl like a baby. You've been warned!

Ya know this August will be the families 19th trip, and for my wife and I our 20h. Have never heard of the kiss goodnight. Which park is this done in,though I suspect it is MK, and why only in May? And most of all, what is it??

Its in the Magic Kingdom at the castle. The lights on the Castle changes colors and some music and other things happen - its fairly brief though - a few minutes - but worth it.

It's only at Magic Kingdom and is offered all year round. The place to see it is from Main Street. The park is basically almost cleared and very quiet. Then the lights on the Castle go dark, the music comes on and the castle begins to sparkle and change color.....Then they talk about Walt's wish for Disney World and then Mickey comes on and tell you goodbye.

If you have the time....it's certainly worth the wait.

Thank you sooo much! You are all so awesome!!!

We are trying to make a list of things that are difficult to do with our little one, so we can make sure to do them while we can!!!

Thanks again!

I've never stayed after park closing before. I always assumed they tried to usher people out as quickly as possible. I guess this isn't the case?

So what do you do in the park for thirty minutes once everything closes?:veryconfu

I always miss this. We're making it a point to see it in a few weeks when we're there. I'm so tempted to watch the youtube video, but I want to be surprised so I'm going to resist.

The attraction lines aren't shut off until right at closing time. So you could easily be in line for an attraction in the back of the park, ride it, then stroll out and it'd be well after closing. The stores along Main Street are open for an hour or so after closing, and this includes the ice cream parlor and bakery.

The last time I stayed for the Kiss Goodnight, I stopped into the bakery, got a hand-made ice cream cookie sandwich (I prefer the ones from Sleepy Hollow, but it closes with the park). Then I wandered back up Main Street to the Hub and ate my snack. :)

They typically don't start "sweeping" the park of Guests until 30-60 minutes after closing, which can change based on crowd levels and how long the attractions need to stay open to push through all the Guests who were in line at closing time. I've been in Epcot almost 90 minutes after closing time after taking a slow stroll though a totally empty World Showcase. Over there, their "sweep" is affected by any late diners in the Table Service restaurants of WS.

It's usually the Bistro that keeps us late on sweep nights, but its an amazing to be able to stay in WSC late with no one around (except the cockraoches which run away when you shine your flashlight on them.....:hurl:)

But seriously, ask any CM when the Kiss is, and if they have no idea what your talking about.. tell them to check their "tell-a-cast". If they have no idea what that is, get their name. Now, go to guest relations and tell them about the dumb CM, and then ask the time for Kiss :animwink:.
