Ooh, nice idea! I can't believe you're continuing this, this is great!
I know! I just had alot of things going on in my other life, you know, the one outside the computer. All good things of course though! But now I have some free time! So, I'm thinking about placing the cliffhanger right before Easter now. It'll be a much shorter hiatus than last year's though, mainly because this game's already taken longer...and we're only halfway in.

To spare anyone waiting any longer and you've already waited plenty, I'll spare the anticipation and tell you what the next world is already. The next world will be called Camelot and it is based off the Disney classic, The Sword in the Stone.

But Merlin is gone, though! How would it work without Merlin?

Also, I don't wish to divert your attention, but would you mind taking a look at this and weighing in here: http://forums.wdwmagic.com/showthread.php?t=563505&page=2. Thanks.

Just because Merlin is gone doesn't mean there can't be a world for it. In the game, when the three visit, Arthur has already been trained by Merlin and Sora becomes more of a sidekick/friend/bodyguard to Arthur, just as the Heartless and Unknown attack the kingdom of Camelot, under the power of Madame Mim.

As for the other game, I'm not going to get involved because I'm really only focusing on this game and I don't wanna get confused myself. I have this series to wrap up first and it'd be confusing continuing this game when it still takes place in the chronological timeframe of the game (only three years in the future) and then having to work on a second game, which jumps a good 15 or so years into the future...that's just too much to work with. And there's some BIG thing's in store for the future of this game and for Kingdom Hearts V.

How about during the hiatus after the cliffhanger?

Why do you have it so multiple characters end up dying?
Because as I was writing Kingdom Hearts III, I wanted some big event to happen at Radiant Garden during the middle of the game. Once I decided that half of Radiant Garden would be destroyed, it opened up so many new levels of storylines for a world (in Kingdom Hearts IV, I was able to make Radiant Garden into a new world, that kept its original feeling).

However, to make it truly a dynamic, dramatic cliffhanger, you have to pull on the heartstings, I had to have a few deaths, Merlin, Cruella De Vil, The Caretaker over at the Haunted Mansion and Kokoum from Pocahontas. Really, only two characters can count because the Caretaker and Kokoum weren't even seen before that moment. I don't see a problem with killing off a character if you think their time is up, especially when it adds the possibility of adding more characters into the game. And I know this series well, I'm not going to kill off a character who is capable of changing the entire game around...at least not until the end.

Soon enough, last year's cliffhanger was so good that I wanted something even better. Kingdom Hearts V will probably also have a cliffhanger event. So I have one already planned out for this year's as well, this time it involves two worlds, however, it mainly takes place in one world and features several cliffhangers, even more than the last game. And the cliffhanger is very unusual, featuring several different characters. It'll proably be posted in three separate parts, but all at once. I'm really looking forward to it. It'll be up next week.

And of course, there will be deaths. Even more than last year. Some deaths will be new characters, that will leave a lasting impression on everyone, one death is a character who's been in and out of the series and the final death is a character who's been in the series since the very first game. Oh, and an entire world gets destroyed...but that's all I'm saying!

Well, the Kingdom Hearts Curse hit again. After much thought and consideration over the situation, I have decided to cut Camelot from the game. After re-watching the movie, I decied that the world would just be too difficult to feature, especially with the absence of Merlin, who is a vital character to the story.

I call this the Kingdom Hearts Curse because there always seems to be a certain world that gets cut from a finished game. It was a Jungle Book world in the original KH, Pinocchio's world in 358/2 Days and I cut a Toy Story world from Kingdom Hearts III. So, we're down to 14 worlds for this game, which is fine. KH had 13 worlds, KHII had 15 worlds, KHIII had a whopping 16 worlds and KH: BBS had 12 worlds, so this game has a good amount.

I didnt want this game to be necessarily long and to be honest, I wanted this game to sort of be a little bit under what was expected, so when KH5 comes out, it's gonna come out with guns blazing and will be the longest game, featuring the most worlds from Disney movies, new and old, favorites and ones unexpected, featuring an all star cast, and featuring a great intricate storyline with another cliffhanger, which will wrap up the whole series and add closure...yet leave some loose ends untied!

Well, sorry for the cut of Camelot, but after thinking about it, I think the game will turn out better ths way. Next world will be the last one before the cliffhanger! Will come tonight!

As for the cliffhanger, I usually schedule when it will be. It's gonne come at some point before Friday. I'm asking you guys what day should I post it?

So will Jim Cummings be voicing anybody in this game?

Also will we see Halloween Town or the Haunted Mansion anywhere in the next game?

EDIT: I forgot Pooh was in this game. Any other characters that he may voice?

Yes, Jim Cummings will voice several characters, including Winnie the Pooh and Tigger. He will voice several other characters, as well.

As for Halloween Town and the Haunted Mansion, which I called Haunted Grounds in KHIII, I'm never going to say never to Halloween Town. That's a world where I can always think up something new for the storyline and it's different and fun. However, I can't be sure if it will appear or not. I'll have to see how the series flows.

As for the Haunted Mansion, it will not be returning. The Haunted Grounds was an unexpected and unusual world for KHIII. It was based off the attraction, not the movie and featured several characters found from the attractio. It had an interesting storyline, which I half wrote, the other half being inspired by the mansion, itself. I always saw it as being a one time world, though. But it really was a great world! I'm not sure if you've ever seen that part of my game because it was a while back. If you'd like, I could send you a link to the KHIII pages that the Haunted Mansion world can be found on? Just let me know.

Also, I'm not against putting in a world, based on an attraction. There are several good picks, Big Thunder Mountain, Splash Mountain, Tower of Terror. I guess I just need the idea to be sold to me.

Anyway, update like...now!

After completing the Hera Cup over at Olympus Coliseum, the team heads over to the final Gummi Ship route on the World Map, titled Trail of Two Cities. After successfully making it through the route, they gain access to the new world.

The Royal City

Sora, Donald and Goofy find themselves walking through the Enchanted Glade, a beautiful forest of tall, colorful trees and a bright beaming sun, sending rays of light through the treetops. Out of the corner of their eye, they see a shrub move and they move closer to speculate, they lean in closer and closer, drawing their weapons when…a small chipmunk pops out of the shrub and runs across the forest ground, heading into a cottage, which is cleverly hidden behind a set of trees. The team heads to the cottage and enters.

Inside, they find themselves in Giselle’s Cottage. Inside they meet a young, beautiful woman named Giselle and her squeaky chipmunk friend, Pip, who actually has a rather large mouth and voices his opinion a good deal of the time. In the corner of the room, there is a save point located next to a round glass window. Giselle fantasizes to the group about how she wishes to find her true love, one day, hoping to experience True Love’s Kiss. Just then, a large troll peeks through the circular window and grabs Giselle, bringing her outside. The team rushes to her rescue.

Outside, the team finds the troll resting Giselle on the limp of a tree. They draw their weapons and prepare to attack!

-Boss: The Troll King-

This fight will be short, but eventful. The large troll attacks with his solid fists, but will occasionally clumsily trip over his own feet. While he’s standing on his massive feet, you can target both his feet and his arms, but the best critical hitting point is his head. Giselle watches the scene from the tree branch.

If you fall into trouble, Pip will start firing acorns at the troll, via a successful reaction command. The battle will soon be over, as the Troll King stands in a state of confusion.

Through the rustle of the trees, the team senses something coming towards them. The tree limb Giselle is sitting on, slowly starts to splinter and break. From out of the bushes, leaps a handsome Prince Edward, who rushes to Giselle’s rescue, inadvertently knocking over the Troll King and catching Giselle right on cue. The Troll King falls to the ground, unconscious. For the first time, Giselle and Edward stare into eachother’s eyes and right there on the spot, Edward decides that they will be married tomorrow.

In another part of the kingdom of Andalasia, a wicked woman screeches to herself that her stepson has found a betrothed, while her henchman, Nathaniel, watches on. She states that she must stop this girl from taking her throne. The woman is revealed to be Queen Narissa. As she exits, another evil woman appears in a sea of flames, spying on the scene…

The next day, after Sora, Donald and Goofy had spent the night at Giselle’s cottage, they awaken to find Giselle in a beautiful ballgown, crafted by her spider friends. She asks if they would assist her to the castle. They agree. They set off through the Enchanted Glade, surprised to see that they have not run into any Heartless or Unknown on their journey here. Even the Troll King waves happily at the group, rather unexpectedly. They arrive at the Castle Courtyard, where the castle walls are beautifully surrounded by lush foliage. They wait to be let into the castle.

Suddenly, an old peddler woman sneaks up behind the trio. The old woman is actually Queen Narissa in a clever disguise. She shows them to a magic wishing well, where if you look deep inside, you’ll find your heart’s true desires. As Giselle and the team look into the depths of the well, the peddler pushes them into it, as their screams echo, as they descend. The peddler transform back into Queen Narissa, when Nathaniel asks where she had sent them. Apparently, she sent them to a place where “there are no happily ever afters”.

As Giselle and the team fall down the steep well, they find small pixels of light attaching to their skin, making them glow, radiantly, before they land and all grows black.

The team and Giselle find themelves pressed up against a cold, steel circular wall. They push against the wall to find that it moves. They lift the wall up and find that they’ve been transported to a mystical kingdom, known as New York City. They are in Times Square. They ascend through a manhole and find themselves in the middle of the street, as cars race back and forth. Sora then notices that Donald and Goofy have turned into a real-life duck and dog. They can’t even speak anymore! He notices that he, too, has changed. His shoes look normal, his hair is flatter, to the gamer, he looks more like a human. Then, Sora notices that the racing cars are not actually cars, but rapid moving Heartless! Not here too!

After the quick battle with the Heartless, Times Square fills with the noises off yelling and horns and cars speeding. The team quickly decides that the area is far too dangerous, so they decide to explore other parts of the area, hoping to get a better feel of where they are. They head down the Back Alley, where another group of Heartless attacks the team.

After all the ruckus, a man named Robert, emerges from his apartment building wondering what has happened. After the team and Giselle tell him everything that has happened, Robert looks at them as if they’re completely crazy. Sora states that they’re being serious. Robert invites Giselle, Sora and his pet dog and duck inside. Inside, they meet Robert’s young daughter, Morgan. They find themselves in Robert’s Apartment, where a save point is located. Not before long Giselle and the team quickly find themselves falling asleep.

Back in Andalasia, Maleficent has made connections to Queen Narissa and states that she will give the queen the power of darkness, if she uses her abilities to join the League of Villains. She explains that her once, league of cut-throat villains had abandoned her completely and now she’s looking to start a completely new league, to take all the worlds by storm. Narissa agrees to join the League, making the League consist of Maleficent, Pete and Narissa.

The next morning, the three wake up to find Robert’s fiancé, Nancy, at the door. She is put in a foul mood when she sees that another woman, meaning Giselle, spent the night at his apartment. She storms out of the apartment.

The team and Giselle head out of the apartment and return to the Back Alley. They exit the opposite direction of the alley and find themselves in Central Park. They take a brisk walk through the park, getting a better feel of the area. There’s a small section of the park, called the Park Alcove, where a save point is located. They move around a large circular fountain.

Suddenly, the ground begins to shake under their feet and a large monster emerges from the fountain.

-Boss: Elusion-

The main aspect of this battle is to protect Giselle from the watery creature. Giselle has a life bar and when she gets hurt, the bar fills up. If that bar reaches its breaking point, the game is over, so do anything in your power to make sure Giselle remain safe.

Elusion first starts out the battle completely invincible. The only way to knock out its’ invincibility is to strike the creature with a powerful Thunder spell. Afterwards, the creature is able to be struck by the Keyblade. After awhile of being attacked, the creature will then repeat the routine and make himself invincible. Simply repeat this strategy and use another Thunder spell to dismiss any problems. Soon, the battle will end and the monster will disappear, as its’ contained heart emerges into the air.

After the battle, the team states that Giselle should return home to Robert’s Apartment and that they’ll be back real soon. Before she can leave, Sora’s Keyblade glows. The water in the fountain parts, revealing the keyhole in the bottom of the fountain. Sora raises his Keyblade and a spark emerges from the blade, floating into the keyhole. They keyhole is sealed and disappears. Afterwards, the water returns. Sora, Donald and Goofy say goodbye to Giselle before returning to the Gummi Ship.

Sora received the Blizzara Spell.

At Villain’s Vale, Maleficent stands in her chamber, with her henchman, Pete and the newly appointed member, Narissa. Maleficent had spent the last three years in hiding, simply biding her time. But this cannot possibly be the great league that claims all of the worlds as their own. But who else? No more Jafar. No more Ursula. She was finished with Oogie after how he treated her last time. Hook’s disappeared. No more Queen. No more Gaston. It seems like all of her cohorts had either been destroyed or disappeared. Certainly no way to expand her league now. Then, she remembered, Hades.

In an unknown region, hidden deep within the bowels of the End of the World, the group of five mysterious figures meet up again. They discuss the further progress of Sora and their state of being as Unknowns. It’s revealed that this group are actually Unknown beings themselves, lacking a consciousness, but possessing a heart and a soul. The Unknown member who looks just like Sora steps out of the light and is revealed to be Sarox. He is followed by a member resembling Kairi, named Raixik. Out of the darkness come two more members, named Leax and Xisa, who look strangely familiar to Axel and Saix, respectively. All of the characters look like alternate egos of their former “known” selves.

They discuss that when a person with a strong hearts loses their heart, their body stays in contact and forms into a nobody, but the heart and consciousness gets lost. The heart gives way to a new Heartless, while the consciousness forms into a whole new being of the same person, creating a darker, alternate ego. They decide that the time to strike is now. If they are ever to use the Keyblade Master for their plans, now is the time. However, attacking from this world won’t work. It’s been morphed and locked since the defeat of Xehanort’s Heartless six years prior. They’ll need a more suitable base. They set their sights on the lovely, abandoned Traverse Town.

The last of the members, the leader stays shrouded in darkness, telling them their plans and their to depart as soon as they are ready. The figure steps out of the light and is revealed to be…

Jiminy’s Journal- The Royal City

Sora, Donald and Goofy Arrived in a beautiful forest, where they met a beautiful woman, named Giselle and her pet chipmunk, Pip. After a brief fuel with a troll, they come to her rescue, along with Prince Edward. Edwards states that they’ll be married by tomorrow. However, his wicked stepmother, Queen Narissa promises to stop the wedding, so that she’ll remain Queen and in power.

The next day, Giselle and the team go to the castle, but are eluded by an old peddler woman, who was really Narissa in disguise. The old woman pushed them down a magic fountain and descended into darkness. When they emerged, they found themselves in a mysterious land, known as New York City. The entire metropolis of light and sound just seemed to add confusion to the team. They quickly decided to explore the area.

They met Robert and his young daughter, Morgan, who let them stay with them. The next morning, they decided to leave the house and take a walk through the park, after Robert had a spat with his fiancé, Nancy. While enjoying the trip, a Heartless attacked, but they team quickly defeated it. After the battle, the keyhole was revealed in the fountain at Central Park. Sora used his Keyblade to seal it.
