Are you raising up some little Disney nerds in training? What have they said and done?

After a couple of afternoon starts in Epcot and no luck getting on Soarin' or getting a FP my son says, "Well, the early bird gets the Soarin' Fastpass!"

Right now my daughter is pretending Disney World. The first thing she did was "build" a bus stop. Some pillows are buses and they're even labeled, "Epcot", "Animal Kingdom", etc. (I must say the pillows are more reliable than the Disney busses! ;) ) She even just did the spiel when the dolls got off the "bus" - "Please take small children by the hand!" :D

I have 2 GD's who have been to Disney 3 times and we are going again in Nov the day after Thanksgiving. They are currently 4 and 3 1/2 yrs old. Both of them think ever airplane is going to Disney. Whenever we are out somewhere and they see a plane in the sky, they tell us that plane is going to Disney World.

We are going to Disney in 31 days and we are brining 2 adult friends with us who have never been there. My 5 year old and were talking about what rides to bring them on and I suggested It's a Small World. My 5 year old DD looks and me and says (in her most dramatic voice) "Please don't make me go on that ride, that song is SOOOO annoying". I just about fell over I was laughing so hard.

That's funny, my kids use to do the same thing! Everytime we saw a plane in the sky my kids would ask if it was flying to Disney World!

One Little Spark...
Last trip my kid had her first "Forgotten Disney" moment (she is 7). She loved doing Kim Possible at EPCOT on our previous trips, and when we got to EPCOT, she was asking for it. I explained, it's no longer Kim Possible, it's Agent P. She grumped the whole walk back to the French Pavilion that Disney shouldn't have made that change because "Agent P is boring, he doesn't even talk and all he does is fight Doofinshmirtz (sp)."

My only response was (while walking by and glancing at the Imagination Pavilion), "Yeah, there's some stuff Disney changes that I wish they hadn't either."

I can relate to this. When my kids were smaller they would be out side swimming in the pool and every time a plane would fly over they would scream "Take us to Disney World". I always wondered what my neighbors thought about that. :)

My two DD's often play disney world! We're going back to WDW next year, and they are currently measuring their hieght in terms of which rides they can go on! Our oldest is at 46" and can't wait to pass the 48" mark to be able to ride everything!! Whilst our youngest is hoping to pass the Splash Mountain mark in time!

We've had a few. Back in 1997, we were taking our 2 boys on the younger son's birthday (he was 5), and we were driving from Melbourne. Well, we didn't tell them where we were going that day, and they both fell asleep on the way. We had just passed under the MK arches, and they both wake up about the same time. The older one says "where are we?" The younger son answered "we're at Disney, dummy!" It was priceless, and we still talk about it today when all of us go.

That same day, after a ride on IASW, we asked them how they liked it, and our older son answered "the ride was cool, but that song is so annoying". Gotta love it!

I have a few:

1) when my eldest was 3 we were staying at Poly and decided to leave my youngest (3 months) with hubby and my mom while my sister, dad and eldest rode the boat to MK. On the way we passed the water pageant and my daughter looked at the people on the boat and said: you are all lucky- I wished for something magical to happen and it did and you got to see it.

2) same daughter at 6 asked crush where nemo was. I'm sure a lot do that but she was totally dead panned.

One morning my son said "This is the best ride EVER!!". The only thing is we was still in our resort room. We brought a bunch of his "friends" to play with and every morning. He would play with them on the window sill. He loved doing that he was only 4 at the time. He is now 7 and remembers it like yesterday.

One time while waiting for Philharmagic I reminded DH to let some folks go ahead of us so we could sit in the middle because "We don't want to sit on the end." DD4 keeps all the maps from the parks in the car and she likes me to read them to her while we're driving. This is not reading the map, I recount our day at that park (or at least how I remember it, lol). Now every time I tell the part about seeing Philharmagic she says "and we have to wait and let some people go cause we don't want to sit on the end." I had no idea she was even paying attention when I said that, let alone actually listening to me!

Ivory Tower Squabble EST 2011. WINDMILL SURVIVOR
My son on his third trip with just my parents, he was just shy of 3. He bolted from my folks during the parade and grabbed onto Winnie's leg. Security snar'd him off of Winnies leg and gave him back to my folks.

2 months later, just 3 and going on trip 4 he announced to Gran that he was sick of Disney and could he stay with her instead. o_O Littled could the little boy know he would work for Disney one day.
