How did you feel about the transportation to the other parks? I have always wanted to stay here, but my husband is concerned about travel time. (Yes, I know we can rent a car, but he drives 80 miles r/t for work. ;) )

Um, not bad. When going to Epcot, we shared with Fort Wilderness, but they picked us up first, and FW isn't far out of the way. When going to DHS, AK or DTD, we shared with the Grand Floridian. It's a bit out of the way, but not a huge deal. On the way back, we were always dropped off first. I'm as stubborn about transportation as anyone, and I've stayed at WL 7 times now, so it can't be that bad.

Yeah, sorry about that, but it indeed was a huge letdown. They took a great themed ride and ripped the theme out. :(

I agree, and I as I have said on several previous threads about this 2.0 upgrade - I knew they were going to screw it up, although I didn't have any idea how they would, but I just knew it. To me it is just a bunch of fancy lights now. No feeling of how a car is really built at a factory with tools and such like before.

Is the Family Auto Man still around? Love that dude..."wheelin' aaaaaaaaaaaaaaand dealin', I'll see you here"

Went out of business years ago. Apparently not running a credit check on anybody then having to send the repo man after half your customers (no, really) is not a viable business model.

As for the lawyer ads--Orlando TV has nothing on the radio. The 1-800-411-PAIN songs are the catchiest tunes you'll hear on the dial!

Crowds: Since when did MLK week become so crowded. I've been in January a dozen times, and never seen it as crowded as it was, especially at MK. Sunday, January 20, was worse than a weekend in July.

Heard this from multiple people, and got caught in I-4 traffic the likes of which we never see outside Christmas and Easter weeks. Bracing for the worst come President's Day.

There simply is no slow season at WDW anymore. My guess is, best bet is probably the 2 weeks after Labor Day week.

Test Track 2.0: I was waiting to pass judgement on this until I rode it. Well, I rode it 3 times to make sure I got a good feel for it and didn't miss anything. It sucks. They ripped the heart and soul from the ride. My 6 year old boys loved Test Track, and understood it. The weather tests, the rough road tests, the braking test, etc. Having the human voice along with you really made it both fun and enjoyable for kids. Now, they won't understand what the hell is going on. Responsiveness, Power, Reliability - I barely understood it. And the OnStar thing is just such a cheap plug for Chevy. As for designing your own car, skip it. Complete waste of time.

We got back last weekend and I ITA with you about Test Track. I told my husband right after we got off that it lost all of its heart! Even though the original que was LOUD- it was still very cool and the theme was carried through. Now people had no clue what was going on. The crowds were indeed awful. Test Track was a 90 minute wait on the Friday we went.

Visually, I prefer Test Track 2.0, but the more I ride it, the more I don't like the flimsy concept the ride is now centered around.
