just a friendly reminder about Alien Encounter and Lilo and Stitch

I hate to dig up old bones, but...

I don't want to ________ anybody off, but I went and saw Lilo and Stitch today and I thought it was fantastic. I also think that Stitch would be great in a revamped Alien Encounter at MK. Not the Lilo and Stitch story mind you, but Stitch causing utter chaos like he did in most of the movie. He is engineered to create destruction you know. I like alot of the people who've posted to this thread don't think it's going to happen, everytime I've gone on AE I've had an average 60 minute wait, but if they were ever to get a wild hair and change it, it would still be a great experience, but like MKTiggerman said, "it's not happening!!!"

I'll have to wait to see the movie with my young step-sister tomorrow. From what everyone is saying, it sounds like Disney has a hit on their hands here. It's about time, too!

The trailer I loved the most was when Lilo tells Stitch that the grandma "just needs some lovin'" and he jumps up on the couch and starts holding her hand. :lol: :hammer: :p That one was priceless! :D

But by watching the movie, you see that stitch has the capacity to reason, something that the AE alien doesn't. That would leave far too great a plot hole in the shows story line.

If you were to replace Skippy w/ Stitch, to keep it in Stitch's character they'd have to...

...have Stitch escape from the first chamber, bite SIR's head off, and have him spit on the audience.

If you were to replace the scary Alien w/ Stitch, to keep it in Stitch's chararacter they'd have to...

..."remove everyones left shoe" and basically take 10 steps back from the storytelling in the movie. He'd also have to curse a LOT in his native alien tongue.

Basically, to make Stitch work with AE, they'd either have to remove the effectiveness of AE w/ scaring people half to death or take 10 steps back in the story line of the movie, and leave mom and dad with a million questions from their kids about why Stitch is mean again.


ahhhhhhhhhhhh.... excuse me while I now take a breath..

Stitch Alien Encounter Rehab is 100% confirmed!!!

I was reading a letter that an Imagineer sent me in the mail and under the Current Endeavors section, it reads "Stitch Escape! (debuting 2004 at the Magic Kingdom)"

I don't know about anyone else but coming from Imagineering, it sure seems like a go to me.

I don't want to burst anyones bubble (because this is still a rumor), but the buzz from all the tommorrowland employees has been that AE is going down for rehab in January or February for Stich. Like I said nothing has been confired yet by Disney but I've heard this rumor flying around MK for some time.

for how long this rumour has been around, we should have heard something by now... or something should have been done by now..

I have just been IM'd by 3 people asking me about the "rehab of Alien Encounter" in which "the alien is being replaced with Stitch." After I asked them who told them this, they told me Screamscape. I read the page. And...

...Nowhere on Screamscape does it say this will happens. The webmaster merely suggested it as a possible tie-in (which, trust me, after he sees the movie, he will remove that idea.. I've seen the movie twice already, and there's no way in hell they can tie the 2 together without rebuilding Alien Encounter from scratch).

In plain english, this means that he left a paragraph on the page directed to WDI, stating that he feels it would be a good idea to tie in AE and Lilo and Stitch, since Stitch and Skippy (as well as the scary in AE) are all aliens... however, with the movie being how it is, there's no way to tie them in together.

This also brings me to my next topic.
Speculate all you want, and keep using Screamscape for facts...

...the only fact is that Screamscape is all rumors, and nothing is confirmed at Disney until you see shovels and construction workers.

Also, last thing (on a more personal note). If you're gonna IM me, please do so from one screen name. The person who IM'd me, also got me on ICQ, and when I checked the IP, I found out this was the same person, trying to be annoying, and I pinged him off. Don't be that idiot (you know who you are, and you know you've been banned from more than one Disney board.. including this one)

I, for one, am greatly relieved to hear that they will not be replacing AE with some kind of Stitch thing. AE is a good attraction and I think the Stitch idea might end up sucking.
