Jurassic Park Roller Coaster Waterfront Changes and Updated Track Layout for Islands of Adventure
Lets take a look at how the waterfront area will appear when the new Jurassic Coaster opens at Universal Orlandoorlandoparkstop.com
I am excited to see the waterfront behind the Discovery Center may be getting some TLC. Some great views down there, but it seemed like a lot of wasted space.

What are the chances this coaster will be done by October 2020? Debating about whether to go to UOR this fall or next.

I'd say guaranteed by Fall 2020. I can't imagine this has a significantly longer build time than Hagrid. They also want something to launch against Ratatouille.

I know everyone is excited about Hagrid's opening this weekend, but what's even more exciting to me is that it's only the first of two new coasters for IoA.

I think they were originally saying late 2020, but I read on Inside Universal that it might be more like early 2021. There is a huge thread over there on this coaster.

Track for the new coaster is now onsite (well, in Orlando... not TECHNICALLY on site at IOA just yet). The double spined track is similar to what Intamin has used on some of their newer, more intense coasters such as SkyRush, I305, and Red Force. Hopefully, that confirms that this ride will be the intense Dragon's Challenge replacement we were hoping for.

I agree, the park is better suited with more indoor/family friendly tickets. One of the reasons Kong filled such a void.
That being said, I think these are projects to keep interest while the big work goes in the new Theme Park.
