It's a tackle shop! Get it? Also, this island is totally uninhabited except animals.
Wouldn't be surprised if they half-assed this scene because it's a WDW only scene that this is "replacing".Yikes. The pole scene was looking good and now this. Is this the Jungle Cruise or a Carnival Cruise?

I don't think they're going to spend the money on cloning the 50 year old "tribal" boats to DL. Just like I doubt that WDW will get a clone of Trader Sam's elephant friend next to their gift shop.I hope so
Moving today!
Skipper Felix gets animated as the trapped skipper scene is completed at the Jungle Cruise
See video of the new Jungle Cruise scene.www.wdwmagic.com
It's Don Knotts!Yeah, the characters should all be moving, right?
Otherwise I think it looks good. The guy on the bottom (the butt of the joke, so to speak) looks like a 1960s Marc Davis character.
Alberta Falls! You don't want to see the backside of a waterfall? The designs are solid enough, but ultimately I just don't understand the purpose of adding a story or reoccurring characters to the Jungle Cruise. Obviously I understand these changes were done for PC reasons, but part of the gag for the rhino scene is the commentary on the social hierarchy of the white explorer above the African guides. The gag still works, but a layer has been removed (although the new commentary of white man getting the horn with a white woman safe on top has humor in it, as well). Perhaps it would have been better to go ahead and redesign the entire scene, just as they have with the Native portions of the attractions. At the end of the day, though, I'm just happy the changes are independent of the new movie.
What's more savage? Being a tribal native or a capitalist business owner like Disney?Look! They're not savages; they own businesses!" - Disney
Beforehand the tree had one character model and four others that were identical. The new figures are all individuals. How so?
Here is the sunken boat scene as well from WDW
