Jungle Cruise movie

I guess I shouldn't be surprised, but it sure feels like pirates. Blunts character with the ladder, falling out the window, onto the bus, that is 100% a Jack Sparrow move. Curses, magic healing things, yea it has the curse of the black pearl vibe for sure.

Actually, it hails back to The Mummy with Rachel Weisz's character in the library. The whole movie feels rather Mummy-esque, which is fine with me because it was a fun watch. While these aren't Oscar winners, Jungle Cruise looks to be one of those silly movies perfect for Thanksgiving cooking or other such occasions.

Thank you sir. You were an inspiration.
I guess I’m in the minority here but was optimistic when this was announced and first few set photos came out...but the trailer makes it look like a hot mess to me IMHO.
You aren't alone. There is a split in our household. I think it looks like a good "non-thinking" movie.
Mrs Ferret thinks it looks pants .

Oh good, you pulled up an article from two years ago which Disney has disavowed.

You're pretty clever, aren't you?
Disney can disavow all they desire. It still doesn't change the fact that Dwayne Johnson is one of the movie producers and said, "We'll partner with Disney's brilliant Imagineers to help re-engineer and re-design the #JungleCruise ride in all the Disney theme parks around the world,". And he supplied photos to prove it!

What it all really boils down to is that if the movie is a big hit, then you're going to see significant changes to the Jungle Cruise. If it doesn't do so well they won't change a thing. Just consider it lucky that Eddie Murphy was so bad in The Haunted Mansion.

Enhancemetns sure, but the last thing this attraction needs is a rocky anamatronic. Omg just the thought of it....

I don't see this movie being a huge hit any more than the unnecessary Jumanji reboot. But who knows.

The most recent Jumanji was a next chapter / sequel movie rather than a reboot. They reference back to the Robin Williams character in the movie as someone who had been in Jumanji a long time ago. My husband and I find it silly funny and are looking forward to the next one.

If that's the case, of which I have no reason to think otherwise... We should probably get a list going detailing aspects we'd liked improved and things we wouldn't want to see changed. Steer this overhaul in our favor.
