I totally agree. We just got back last week, and NEVER again will we go in the summer. I know there are many who don't mind the heat and actually prefer the summer, but not my family! We had fun, but the quality of the trip was nowhere near what we have had in non summer months. We can physically do so much more when we go in the winter or spring, and I HATE feeling like I need to take a shower by 11:00 a.m. And since our kids our still very young, the late hours in the summer do not appeal to us...in fact, it is a pain for us because it means the parades and fireworks are usually too late for us to go to. I actually prefer when the parks close at 8:00 or 9:00.

Okay, I am done with my rant so I will give you my opinion on the question you asked....lol.

My all time favorite time to go is early December because of the Christmas decorations. My second favorite time is April, but if you choose April make sure your dates are not near Easter.

yes I totally agree the heat was crazy and it would rain and then the humidity would just be unbearable. We also had fun but didn't get nearly as much done as I would of hoped, lines were long and the heat just wore us out. I felt bad for our kids. If we go in December is it busy, I also heard Feb was a good time to go. :veryconfu

December is great as long as you go during the first two weeks...once schools let out for Christmas break, it gets crazy. Early December has become a more popular time in recent years so the crowd levels are not as low as they used to be during that time, but it is still a good time to go.

If a combination of lower crowds and no heat is what you want I would suggest the following: Mid November, early December, January (once schools are back in session after the Christmas break) except for the MLK weekend and the surrounding days, February except for President's Day week, and the first week in March. Crowds are not too bad during October, but it can still be very hot.

If crowd level is very important to you, I highly suggest the crowd calendar on touringplans.com. You do have to have a paid subscription to the site to view the entire crowd calendar, but it is only $10.95 for a year and it is SOOOO worth it. I use it to plan the dates of all of our WDW trips.

I totally agree. Ideally I would love no crowds and no heat, but if I had to choose between the two, I would choose crowds. There are ways to deal with crowds if you know what you are doing...but there is NO way to deal with that kind of heat!

I agree. The humidity this past week was far worse than I ever remember this time of year. July is alot hotter, but alot less humid. With that being said, last week of Sept., beginning of Oct. is always great weather to go.

Our fav time to go is the last week in January. Cooler weather and little to no crowds. I also love October with all of the Halloween decor but I would either go the 1st or 3rd week. We went the week of Columbus day and the crowds were pretty bad.

We're headed there this weekend as well. I've been there at this time of year as well as mid-August. Both times seemed to be hot and humid so I'm not sure there was much difference for us.

Here's hoping for WDW to have wonderful weather for both our trips!!

Just returned on the 14th after 7 days in the world. It was hot but managable. We filled our aluminum bottles with ice and rolled them in a towel. This insulated the bottles some but also provided a cool towel to wipe our brow with. A nice personal fan is also good to have as most of the days we were there no wind was blowing. Hey consider where you are, smile and enjoy.

I prefer Oct. because I love the Halloween decorations and fall decor. but we are headed down on Tuesday. I am a little bit worried about the heat because I am expecting. I can usually deal with the heat but right now I don't know. I used to live there and my body got used to it. It is very hot here now in NC so maybe I will be ok. If you have any suggestions please let me know.

I think the only times we haven't gone are in the dead of summer and any time between February and April. And while I understand the problem of heat and humidity, I found the first two weeks of June to be bearable simply because of the reduced crowds. Granted, we spent a good deal of time at the pools or water parks, but I'll take a little heat and humidity over 45-minute waits for Maelstrom any day of the year....

It really depends on the year. Last year we went the end of September and early October and had a couple of really hot days (like near 100 degree days). Being from Houston, I don't mind the heat or humidity and we thought it was really bad. However, I have been at the end of December and early January with low 30s weather (record breaking temps) and I thought that was worse for trying to do things. Last thing you want to do is ride Splash Mountain when it is 30 degrees outside. Especially if you are from Houston. And you know it is bad when you huddle inside of Hall of Presidents just to stay warm. (We also couldn't go back to the hotel because MK was closed down most of the day due to crowds)

It really does depend on the year as to what the weather will be like. Have been in March with beautiful weather and the next year it froze two days.

Thats a great idea! I think we may just have to steal it. LOL. We always go in the summer, mainly because my husbands work doesnt allow for him to go any other time. Unless we are lucky for whatever reason....

We are taking my entire family down there in just about a month. And while we are used to it, I don't know if the rest of the gang is so this would be perfect for them.

It's funny how we all like different things! I went this past March and I froze... and I mean froze! (And I'm from NL, Canada - trust me, I know cold!!!). I didn't like it at all... I much prefer my WDW hot hot hot!

I think that's part of the attraction for me... we never see temps like that in NL. And even though the heat can be overwhelming for us sometimes... we still like it. We love swimming in the pool (something else we don't see a lot of in NL) and we love the warm mornings and nights!

I love September, myself. It's still hot and humid but the crowds are so much lower. This past March I was there the first week and I was out even before Spring break started but I still found the crowds to be too much on somedays.

My favorite kind of touring is early in the morning and later in the evening. Then I spend the middle of the day in the pool... ahhhhh WDW!

Early December is probably the best, but we went during Christmas 2 and 4 years ago and didn't really have any problems at all with crowds until near the end of one trip.
