Welcome to the July 11th, 2008 Universal Orlando Update. Brendan Fraser is in the park today to promote The Mummy: Tomb of the Dragon Emperor.

Revenge of the Mummy's entrance was through its extended queue because of the event happening in front of the main entrance to the ride.

A special Annual Passholder event was held in Soundstage 33 from 4-4:30. This was the line to check-in. Brendan Fraser was making an appearance and everyone got free t-shirts and drinks.

Brendan came out to talk for a bit and show off a clip from the new movie.

He did some "commentary" during the clip which was pretty funny.

They gave out another free trip to the premiere.

After that was done, Brendan went to the back of the soundstage to pose with the car for photos.

The main entrance to Jaws is already closed for HHN construction.

The Van Helsing exhibit was FINALLY removed in the Pantages Theater lobby and replaced with a new exhibit that documents make-up and special effects in Universal films.

Awww I love it! And I loooove that display with horror movie memorabilia, like Chucky, Mike Myers' mask, the Book of the Dead, and the Psycho stuff....I wanna go! :lol:

I was there Friday and rode Jaws. It's not closed, the ques are just rearranged!

I was going to hang around for BF, but got tired and went back to my parent's hotel and pool.

Yeah, he was pretty mellow. I haven't seen the movie in a long time so I forgot what his character was like. But he walked up to me, stared at me and I said, "I'm waiting to meet you" to which he replied (after a long pause and finally breaking the staring contest), "Well, that was awkward". I replied with, "I can make it a little more awkward if you'd like."

He was a big dude. I'm 5'7, so you can imagine how tall he is by looking at the pic.
