..... 4-5 months then to spell it out, how can this not be completed in a few months before spring.
This is getting ridiculous!
It's dozens of tons of cement and water they are prepping for on top of the roof of an underground utilidor. There's at least a dozen water features throughout JoW and all that piping is hidden in bespoke cement works of art. This isn't a suburban backyard rectangular pool with a pumping box in plain sight. And it's part of the new central hub which will have miles of cabling for the in-ground lighting effects. And also a rebuilt Communicore building. There is nothing off the shelf that they can plug and play.

You mean it's not just a splash pad?

All of that could easily be done in half the time they're planning, though -- especially considering they've already done quite a lot.

Strong presentation as to what is going on and the reasons for its leisurely construction. But since they are not constructing a major public works project (like a dam or levee system) this whole thing could be moving at a more efficient pace. Damn nice rock work though.

Exactly, this isnt a small 'mickey mouse' company :cautious: considering the time epcot has looked like a dump they should plough resource in to this, it should be the number one priority!
They could be done by spring.

Why are people still shocked that Disney is moving slow on construction? Like this isn't new, this is the way this has been since the Eisner era. Yeah, it can be done quicker, yeah it should be done quicker, but it's not as if this is the first time that they are shuffling their feet, yet people freak out and claim it's unbelievable. The pearl-clutching at such random things on here really does perplex me sometimes.

Ermmm, because it is unbelievable...?
We aren't talking about the contrustion of a new ride, a mini project, we're talking about turning a park in to a building site!

It doesnt matter if they're usually slow, this is a completely different scale that impacts park visits.

The logic in thinking a whole park isn't different to the norm really does perplex me sometimes.

Leaving the center of a park a construction zone isn't a random thing, and it's certainly not pearl-clutching to be annoyed about it when it's only happening because Disney has decided they're not interested in opening sooner.

It's much different than something like TRON. TRON shouldn't take this long either, but it's in a back corner and doesn't affect the park experience for literally every single visitor.

I would argue that TRON closed the WDW RR which affect the park experience for many visitors.
No matter what side of the discussion you are on, we can all agree, it's a bad situation.

I think a walkthrough like this but in AK in Avatar land with some animatronics and stuff would be chill. I know everyone hates this thing but I'm really looking forward to it.
