So we've progressed from a Journey of dirt and mud to concrete forms and plumbing. Good timing as its whats typically the dry portion of the year.

I wonder how long it will take some enterprising miscreants to figure out that if they add soap to the rushing water you get an instant foam party?

I would be very surprised if this opens in 2022. I'd like to see some of the World Celebration offerings open by then, but it really seems like Spring 2023 for an unveiling of everything.

I would think they'd want to improve traffic flow as quickly as possible. In other words, open Connections as soon as it's ready in order to close off the former backstage area beside Cosmic Rewind as they push to finish it. I would hope Journey of Water and Dreamer's Point would be next on the docket to pull together ASAP so that they can restore flow from Discovery to Nature, leaving just the festival quarter to wrap up as they push farther into 2023. At least the park will be acceptably navigable by that point.

A company that cared about traffic flow even a little bit would never have shut down a third of the park in the first place. It wouldn’t surprise me if things open up in late 22. It also wouldn’t surprise me if nothing changes into 24. We’ll see.

Even if they don't care about the guest satisfaction factor, I would think they want people out of the backstage area to the left of Cosmic Rewind. I feel like they've delayed repainting that side of the building for exactly that reason.

I dunno, I know Disney likes to drag their feet with construction, but it seems like there has been a shift at Disney to put a focus on EPCOT. Tron was set to be finished before Guardians, but they've flipped that so Tron is most likely opening in 2023 now. Since they're going ahead full steam at Guardians, as well as working on Connections Café and Moana, I'd imagine they're trying to push to get as many walls down in EPCOT as possible. I'll take the 2023 Tron if it means more movement on EPCOT's front end.

I find that a very generous interpretation of how things have been moving forward at Epcot. They took their sweet time getting Creations (a store) open and ever since they have seemed in no hurry to get Connections (a quick service restaurant) open. In those cases, we're talking about two things that generate revenue and, combined, would do a lot to minimise the whole centre of the park appearing as a giant construction zone. I don't see many signs that they're suddenly interested in pushing down walls at Epcot as soon as possible and Moana being sped up.

I tend to agree. Yet, Connections seems to be barreling on towards a Spring opening. They wasted no time in gutting the temporary Mouse Gear location. And a significant amount of work is nearing completion in Connections.

That being said, the fact that there is almost no work being done on the central World Celebration area is majorly disconcerting. They could be well on their way to opening up at least half of it. (I wonder how much of it hinges on Dreamer's Point and if they need Spaceship Earth to go down to facilitate those changes with the Project Tomorrow building.)
