Journey Into Imagination refurb.

They are building an entire land, spending many, many millions of dollars; also refurbing an Epcot pavilion, just as a way to get out of refurbing an Epcot pavilion.

Is there any legitimacy to this whole Inside Out thing? I really doubt Figment is going anywhere. Doesn't seem to make a whole lot of sense. I could maybe see it being a replacement for Captain EO. I'm assuming they have a plan for Figment not including Inside Out, given the refurb it was about to receive.

I had read an mid 2013 iteration of this rumor which was going to be The Dreamfinder and Figment replacing Captain EO, and a brand new ride going in to replace Journey into Imagination.
Obviously that was two years ago and before the Frozen ride which, as quite a few people have mentioned, is what threw that iteration (where Imagination was supposed to close in January 2014) off the table, or at least postponed it.

Is there any update on this rumor? We are getting close to Norway being reopened as Frozen Norway. Is anyone hearing anything?

Was it ever explained why Dreamfinder was removed? Was he owned by anyone but Disney? Kids connect with colorful characters. Not so much Monty Python (as funny as they are)

As Future World left the 80s and entered the 90s, the Imaginaton Pavilion transitioned from the Dreamfinder and Figment to the Imagination Institute which began with Honey, I Shrunk the Audience. When Journey into YOUR Imagination opened, people complained about Figment not being in the attraction, so they shut down the ride and put Figment back in.

So the answer is: Journey into Your Imagination opened and not enough people complained about missing the Dreamfinder.

I remember the backlash when Figment went away. That amazes me that people didn't include Dreamfinder in their complaints.
Thanks for the info :)

I wish they would restore some of the rides they have chopped up and changed back to their original state. I am so happy I have video of some of the older versions of the rides and now when I go i try to video what i can before they change and mess up something else

I was walking to get my mail and I overheard a conversation from someone who says he has a friend who is the cousin of a WDW bus driver who heard they're going to tear out Journey into Imagination and put in a renewed version of Timekeeper.

(How is this thread not locked?)

Wow kid, I'm glad assumptions count as history...
