Nice,
Lobby looks cool, nice and clean.
Was that the coffee bar that used to be near the escalators and is it now by the doors that take you out to the back of the tower?

First the coffee bar was by the escalators, then they moved it to in the front part of the lobby, now they moved it to the corner.

Thanks lots and lots!!!

The shop doesn't look like it's progressing too quickly. They must be on the peg-a-day set up plan.

Love the new look of check-in, but those big hanging signs are obnoxious and McDonald's looking.

It's HarmonioUS, NOT HarmoniYOU.
It's not done yet!

No!! You do say?! :lol::lookaroun

Edit... the new store is moving along nicely though. Thanks for the pics.

Any idea what they are going to do with the old store... once the new one is finished (gut it and make it part of the walkway from the DVC tower?).

Which corner is the coffee bar in? It looks like the back, where the "food court" and game room used to be, but there was no window there...

Which floor is it on, and which corner? I am confused.

Its on the first floor. (Same floor as Check In and Concierge.) In the Southwest corner of the lobby I believe.

I just wanted to make a comment on the game room that they shoved into the old store. It's horrible there!! What an awful mistake. They should have left it where it was! Just my opinion of course.

Thanks for the update.

I asked this on another thread but never really got an answer.

Has there ever been something so obvious and as big as the "unconfirmed" Contemporary DVC under construction before that Disney has let get this far without some type of anouncement. I know alot of casul guest probably ask whats going on and they just accept the brush off of an answer....but you know us die hards we wouldnt give up that easy.

I have not been down since last December so I have not had the chance to ask someone at the Contemporary the question....what is their standard response?

Have not been there yet to see the new arcade, but from the design and my familiarity with the resort, I just cannot help but agree with you.

The Fantasia Shop was the perfect place for a souvenir shop. And I liked the fact that that end of the Grand Canyon Concourse was so open. It complemented the rest of it, which was busy.

I think the arcade belonged down in the bottom section, where really only hotel guests would find it, coming back from the pool, or from the snack bar. That was a more appropriate setting for an arcade (which, by definition, is a cheap space-filler, aimed at the "hanging out" teen and hotel guest crowd, more than the casual visitor and family crowd that populates the Grand Canyon Concourse).

Anyone watch South Park? Someone should put Officer Barbrady out infront of the construction saying "Move along people, nothing to see here"...

We got to see the remodeled arcade on our honeymoon a couple of weeks ago. It was very dark and definetly not as many games as there used to be. It just wasn't fun like it was downstairs. There also weren't that many kids there so either we were on an off day or not many people knew that they moved it.
