Johnny Depp at the parks?

I've also been told by creditable people that for part of a day Depp was sitting in the final scene with all the tresure of POTC back when Jack Sparrow was first added to the ride.

Can you imagine the effort it would take to dismantle and reassemble that AA for an afternoon just so a man who can do anything he wants could pretend to be the character he already pretends to be? I just find it to be FAR too unbelievable.

To my knowledge he HAS come to the park as a guest and done a set dressed as Jack Sparrow. There is no announcement that it is him and because of the "show" of Disney no one seems to question it, they think he's just a really good Johnny depp character double.

It makes sense -- as Sparrow, he can "hide in plain sight" and people will just assume he's a really good imitation. It's got to be better than getting mobbed by fans once you're recognized in plainclothes.

During Not So Scary in 2010, he appeared in the parade as Jack Sparrow. Lady GaGa was in it as well as a ghoul from the Haunted Mansion scene. I was working treats in Tomorrowland that night, so I didn't get to see them.

I remember hearing this as well. I remember hearing that he surprised people because they thought he was just a new animatronic, but then he started walking around or saying something or I can't remember. This may be just a rumor though because I googled it and nothing came up except for video of him riding the POC. I figure if he really did this, Disney would have promoted it left and right. Cool in theory though..

This is the best look alike Johnny I've ever seen. This was last year at MNSSHP. My daughter waited in line for quite a while to get a picture with him.
One of the cm's, I know-what do they know, told us that he goes either to DL or WDW for the premier/release of a Pirate's movie. Last year was suppose to be WDW, but the word was he went to DL. We went to the first showing in DTD last year hoping he might show up there. Of course, he didn't.

From what I've been told is he was indeed in the first parade at WDW this year and the rumor going around MK is he might be joining us again.

Supposably the key feature you can tell is that Jack's don't wear the captain hat unless they are Johnny Depp. Now I see someone above posted a photo above of a Jack in his hat but it doesn't appear to be Depp because he is too young. It could be parade only with the hat vs no hat thing. I don't know because I don't work at MK and honestly half the rummors started there are passed like wild fire.
