In the ever-continuing trend of riding Carousel of Progress FAR too much and thus noticing FAR too many tiny, minor updates, I have a new one for you: John in scene 1 has new pants!

Old pants:

These have orange stripes. :D

The level of detail is astounding. TDO should be commended. :lookaroun:lol:

Seriously, though, kudos for noticing! I would have never. Hope CoP continues to get some love.

Awesome. Good to see one of my favorites getting some love. Now if only it were the last scene...

Seriously, switch out the ski boots to something more modern, change the TV to LCD, and update the outfits. None of that would require much work at all.

Not old, just vintage.

A newlaptop might be a good move too. That thing is easily 3 inches thick. All they need is one of the fake laptops that you see in model homes and store displays all the time. They can't possibly be that expensive.

 He has a Tumor

I also agree the last room needs to be updated. We are well into the Millennium. They are in serious need of a new tv, video game system, mp3s or even an Ipod. Hey if they dont want to blow the budget they could get just get a pair of white earphones and have then dangling from a box or something.

So anyway those are some groovy pants :D

The problem with the video game is that it is entwined with the script. They couldn't just replace it with anything off the street. Thus that would entail higher costs to produce a video that matched the current script.

When I rode the CoP earlier this month I noticed the curtains in the load theater are still NOT squeaking when they close *good!*....John's mouth barely moves in Act I, the television in Act III has been working...and for a good time from what I hear....the LCD TV looks good, but either they need to make Act Iv a realistic depiction of 1999 or something because it's painfully inaccurate.

Oh, and the carousel never stopped, nor did anyone leave the theater, nor did the CM have to come across the PA system....but some woman was talking on her cell phone almost the entire time.

I still think they should turn the unload theater into a "future" ending that can always change, and then restore act IV back to it's world's fair ending (as much as possible) and in the intro tell guests they are experiencing the Walt Disney created world's fair version with a special bonus ending that looks into the future.

They need to give the mother a new laptop, and they need to fix the dialogue between the daughter and grandfather. It's laughable that the daughter says "car phone" and that the grandfather mentions laser discs. They added "high def tv" to the grandfather's dialogue a year or two ago, so I can't imagine this will be too difficult.

I don't mind Grandfather saying "laser discs" because a lot of older people tend to get modern terminology mixed up. It's almost a little cute if they left it in there. But there's definitely no excuse for "car phone" from the daughter.

The thing that annoys me the most is a trivial thing in the final act; the wrapped present near Grandma next to the one the cat is sleeping on features a Santa Claus gift wrap. But it's SO OLD and SO FADED it's just clearly the fakest of the fake.

I always think about those design shows on HGTV and such and how for $1,000 they could completely remodel and update that last scene!
