I saw them at the main Pin Station 2 weeks ago in ol' EPCOT...perhaps they are now sold out? They were hanging up with the other 'Limited Editions' ready for purchase.

They also had some at DTD when i was last in town, again, on one of the large racks loaded with all the 'Limiteds'...

Definately worth checking out. It is a large standard pin ( not one of the huge wall mounted things...) and looks GREAT. I was thinking about all my CoP lovin' friends when i laid eyes on this beauty...

My goof...it is for CoPs 35th Anniversary now that i am looking at it...

I have to admit, I went and rode CoP last night just to see the new pants. :lookaroun  They look very nice!

On a side note, MK as a whole was PACKED last night - they used the backstage exit while the first SpectroTragic was going down Main Street. I couldn't believe how crowded it was - like a typical holiday level crowd.

It being the last weekend of Winter Break up in the Northeast, i would expect it to be. Zillions of folks up in the Cold North make the pilgrimidge during the school vacation time during Presidents Week to visit WDW.

I think they are all totally insane...going when it is so nutty busy....but hey, those dollars are helping to pay for more wardrobe enhancements for CoP!

:D

New dress for the Misses, then?

The CoP needs a backstory as a preshow, one reason why it's such a boring/awkward attraction for guests (and I've heard them comment on it during the ride) is that they have no clue what it is....you have no guarantee that guests will even pay attention to the TTA spiel whether they be riding the TTA or listening to it from the ground, and the TV screens in the.....dare I even call it, "pre show" have terrible audio, and most guests don't even pay attention to those. The only saving grace is listening to the brief intro in the load theater before the theater rotates

"Welcome, to Walt Disney's Carousel of Progress. You're in for a real treat. The Carousel of Progress was Walt's own idea from beginning to end. He loved it. He introduced the show at the World's Fair in New York City in 1964 and it was an immediate smash hit. Millions of people came to see it and since then, the Carousel of Progress has had more performances than any other stage show in the history of American theater. You know, Walt loved the idea of progress and he loved the American family. He himself was probably as American as anyone could possibly be. He thought it would be fun to watch the American family go through the twentieth century experiencing all new wonders as they came. And he put them together in a show called Carousel of Progress, which we are about to see. Although our Carousel family has experienced a few changes over the years, our show still revolves around the same theme: and that's progress. May the century begin."

If they still have "no clue" what it's about, then no amount of backstory is going to help. It's fine the way it is.
