Went to Animal Kingdom early on Saturday morning and walked through Maharajah Jungle Treck first thing and just as we walked in to the aviary I held the door for a man and when I turned to look I noticed a large earring in his left ear. Took me a second to realize it was Joe. He was walking around taking pictures and checking on the animals that were out(as he stated when I talked to him). I didn't bother him during the exhibit but after we walked out I asked if he would mind tacking a picture.

Cool! I would love to meet Joe some day.

Only time I've ever had a "close encounter" with any kind of a higher-level Disney exec was one time Al Weiss (who was the head of WDW at the time) walked past us at the Studios as we were waiting for the little ceremony to begin to mark Walt's 100th birthday. I would've ask for a quick photo, but it was one of those he-passes-by-"hey, wait a second, wasn't that Al Weiss?" kinda things.

That's awesome! I've never really seen any high-level Disney exec in the parks, though I've walked by several people with WDI hates/t-shirts/jackets at construction sites or other areas of the park. None of them were really recognizable though.

Joe was very nice and didn't seemed bothered by me asking for a picture, one thing I regret was not asking him about the Adventures Club. Not like he would have said anything about it but still would of like to have asked. I Saw Roy E. Disney in the Magic Kingdom last may he was with a lot of people so I never got the change to talk to him or ask for a picture.

TDO2: Oh no! We never told him half the effects in the park are broken.

*TDO1 runs out of the room screaming*

TDO knew Joe would be around because he's been involved in events across property this week ... but I don't think there's much they can do to hide the sad show condition of some of the premier attractions are in.

Didn't get a change to, I had a 1000 questions I would have loved to have asked him but just didn't. You know how it is you meet someone you would like to meet and when it happens you forget what you wanted to say.
