Yep, that's the gist of everything I say:
I'll have the filet oscar, is the side of hairy shoulders extra?

Food was amazing. Service was top shelf. The atmosphere is obviously sub-casual. My $100 lunch was VERY enjoyable.

I'm of a different opinion. I like that they took a minor character and have the freedom to expand on him a bit. THAT to me is Imagineering- coming up with a unique and interesting backstory. Compare it to Be Our Guest. Yes, it looks amazing inside. But, there's really no thought to it other than lifting scenes straight from the film and making them three dimensional. And there's little explanation as to why the secretive and reclusive Beast is absolutely A-OK with hordes of strangers coming in.
I'm of a different opinion also. The opinion that this was meant to be a third party restaurant and the vendor pulled out well into the construction of the restaurant. That left Disney as the operator, so since they are running the place, they decided, last minute, to slap on an IJ character, give it the Trader Sam's treatment with effects and collectible mugs. I have no idea if any of that is true, but it makes a lot of sense to me.

I don't know if they'll be able to limit the space to 21+ after a certain time or not given how large the building is, but at the very least i'd like to see the bar out on the boat be made 21+ only.

I am surprised that this isn't scheduled to open until the fall, it looks pretty far along.
As I have said, I strongly feel a third party vendor pulled out and Disney had to start from scratch on a concept. They decided to mostly copy Trader Sam's as it has gone over great on both coasts.

The reason this would make sense is because 1.) They originally just announced this as "The Hangar" and then randomly added the Jock's moniker to it and 2.) The outside looks very far along, but what does the inside look like if it's not scheduled to open until fall?

This sounds very plausible, although the boat with the name "Reggie" on it has been there since January, so the new theme must have been in the works since sometime late last year.

Nope, it has been Disney all the way since the beginning.

And it was never announced until last week. The Hangar name I believe first came from WDWMAGIC back in Sep 2014 http://www.wdwmagic.com/attractions...o-take-shape-in-the-future-disney-springs.htm. Disney had not mentioned it publicly until last week.

Depends on the definition of Fall. It isn't going to be as late as October or November. It has around 3 - 4 months of work to go.
3-4 months is still August/September, which even the world outside of Disney classifies as Summer still. They wouldn't say Fall imo if it wasn't going to open until October at the earliest, especially since Disney is known for stretching the seasons. They've limited "Fall" to October/early November and then it's "Holiday".

Fall actually starts September 23.

Exactly, that pretty much proves my point. Fall starts around then every year and Disney normally goes by the calender when making a vague opening announcement. There would only be 7 days of September that are technically considered "Fall" before October begins.

Unless they want to open early (I'd have no problem with that), I don't see this opening before October.

It will be open before October.

I don't mind the tie-in. Funny how many want unique and then when it's given, it's called slapped together, cheap, etc. Just having it be "The Hangar" is slightly boring. Could have been interesting to me as "just" The Hangar, but I'm not going to fault them for this. I like the tie-in.

I know. It's like when they had the flowers and butterfly characters out meeting for Easter.

"There are too many IPs in the parks! Let's have some original characters!"
"Here ya go. Here are some delightful new spring themed characters."
"... WE WANT BR'ER RABBIT AND THUMPER AND EXISTING IPS!!!"
