Trip Report JenniferS Is Live - 9/7/16 - 9/17/16

Hi, my name is JenniferS, and I am a Disneyholic. I have been accused of being a Pixie Dust snorter. I've been accused of worse, so no biggie.

Once we get home from a Disney trip, I am always in a bit of a funk, and never really up to doing a proper trip report. For those of you who know me, I generally post live over in Chit Chat somewhere. This is my first dedicated live trip report in the actual Trip Report Thread.

The cast:
Me. JenniferS. Just turned 49. Honestly friends, I don't know how that happened. I still feel 27. But, my passport and driver's licence insist I was born in 1967, and I have two 20-something sons, so it must be true.

This is me, on my way to work this morning. All smiles, because this is my last day of work for almost two weeks!

And this is Hubby. He is not on his way to work today, as he has been off work for 6 months. He is 48 years old and this is the first entire summer he has had off since he was 14. In 31 years together, this is only the second time I have seen him with a tan.

Goofy is his favourite character.

And last year, he was obsessed with this over-sized "Stitchie". There was no room in our luggage, but this year, I am determined to buy it for him, and bring it home by any means necessary. Actually, I'm just going to bring our big SouthWest duffel bag, and pay for an extra bag coming home.

This will be our first Disney trip, just the two of us, since 1992! :jawdrop:

Okay, that's the Who.
Coming up next - the Where.

Okay, on that less than successful note, we did actually leave the park.

Of note, we did not, in any of our three visits, ride Rock 'n Roller Coaster, Star Tours (yay!) or go to the Frozen Sing-along. Just the way things go sometimes.

And we're at MK. I think I left off on the WD railroad. This is a must for us. We only just managed to squeeze it in.

We disembarked in NFL/Storybook Circus and meandered over to Ariel. I think Hubby likes this ride. Just saying.

Let's go under the sea, shall we?

This effect blew me away the first time we saw it during the NFL dress rehearsal back in Fall 2012.

Hubby can do the Tigger laugh really well. It gets old fast. Good thing I love him.

We always shout "Hooray"!

I don't think I am going to be as successful with my ride pictures as you. Mine are not as clear as yours and having difficulty with one camera.

From IaSW, we rode Space Mountain one last time, and then took a spin on the PeopleMover.

Heading out, I stopped to chat with these fine fellows. I love ducks. Have I mentioned that I love ducks? Ducks are cool. Disney ducks especially.

A final shot of the painted rocks (dozens more in the actual painted rocks thread). I like them. But then again, I never liked the red ones.

I think I'm more or less caught up for the day.
For some reason, I got really over-heated today, which knocked the stuffing out of me.

No park tomorrow. Just loading up the car, and heading to Disney Springs.

I've already told Hubby to forget about breakfast at Pepper Market tomorrow. One breakfast per trip is enough for me.

As of this moment, we have 4 QS credits and 5 Snack credits left.

I'm out for tonight. Good night friends.

Rest up and get better. Long day you had.

Works fo rne now .
The problem was that I had originally posted them in the wrong, totally unrelated thread, and thought I would be lazy and just cut and paste.
Looked good on my end here, so I figured y'all could see it too.

I think my brain got overheated yesterday.

Final verdict on our two Signature dinners - I've got Yachtsman back on top. Hubby is still firmly in the Narcoossee's camp.

If all other aspects of the meal are equal (and they pretty much were), then this:

I agree with you Yachtsman is superb! Although in Narcoosees' defense for me I ate there when I was recovering from a cold so my taste buds were only half functioning (I still enjoyed the meal though).

I really have enjoyed your Live trip report so much! I will miss it, but I hope you have a good last day and safe travels home!

One last spin on the GMR. I wish they would keep this attraction, update it, and build the new Mickey attraction elsewhere - but what do I know?

Not for sure, but given that this may be my last ride ever on this attraction, I was very excited to finally get this scene again. I swear, it's been at least 3, maybe 4 years.

I've never seen the alternate scene - I thought it was a myth.

The pain of leaving has been somewhat alleviated by booking the Bounceback offer.

9/6/17-9/16/17.

Same time/same place.

Be there or be square.

That definitely takes away the sting of leaving. Safe travels home.

Before heading to the airport, we stopped in again at the beautiful Disney Springs. I took a lot of pics of the Planet Hollywood/Observatory and posted them in that thread.

I won't bore you here with all the pics, but I will say this - I know it's Saturday, but I couldn't believe that there was not a soul working. I work for a residential builder, and we have various trades on site 7 days/wk. considering it's the first thing you see when exiting Garage Orange, you'd think they'd want this eyesore cleaned up pronto.

After a few delightful hours and three Innis & Gunn's at R & C with @Monty and @wannabeBelle, we headed over to Tutto Italia for dinner. A very early dinner.

Time for somebody (not naming names here) to get some bread in him to chase those beers. :hilarious:

Bread service. We might have had a second serving.
View attachment 160391

Which means we got two of this. Hubby was in his glory, as I don't eat olives.
View attachment 160392

Shrimp Risotto as per plan.
View attachment 160393

Hubby got talked into the rack of lamb. I had one chop. It was beyond divine!

There wasn't however, a lot to it, so I promptly ordered some calamari. Again, all for him.
In JenniferS world, if it looks like an onion ring, it should be an onion ring - not battered, deep fried elastic bands.

What, no pictures of our happy group?? Marie
