Trip Report JenniferS Is Live - 9/7/16 - 9/17/16

Hi, my name is JenniferS, and I am a Disneyholic. I have been accused of being a Pixie Dust snorter. I've been accused of worse, so no biggie.

Once we get home from a Disney trip, I am always in a bit of a funk, and never really up to doing a proper trip report. For those of you who know me, I generally post live over in Chit Chat somewhere. This is my first dedicated live trip report in the actual Trip Report Thread.

The cast:
Me. JenniferS. Just turned 49. Honestly friends, I don't know how that happened. I still feel 27. But, my passport and driver's licence insist I was born in 1967, and I have two 20-something sons, so it must be true.

This is me, on my way to work this morning. All smiles, because this is my last day of work for almost two weeks!

And this is Hubby. He is not on his way to work today, as he has been off work for 6 months. He is 48 years old and this is the first entire summer he has had off since he was 14. In 31 years together, this is only the second time I have seen him with a tan.

Goofy is his favourite character.

And last year, he was obsessed with this over-sized "Stitchie". There was no room in our luggage, but this year, I am determined to buy it for him, and bring it home by any means necessary. Actually, I'm just going to bring our big SouthWest duffel bag, and pay for an extra bag coming home.

This will be our first Disney trip, just the two of us, since 1992!

And yes, the cobbler was blueberry. I ate half.
Of all the QS desserts, this is certainly one of the best.

Unsweetened iced tea for me. A very tasty, but very tart lemonade slushie for him.

I actually had to go back and look at the picture.
He was not sad. He can sit in the pool doing nothing for a long time. Give him some beer, and he can sit there ALL DAY.

Me, I tend to have to be moving. Even starfish floating, I ended up miles away, and he has to reel me back in.

Hubby gave it an 8 1/2 because of the bun.
And I quote, "it's a top sliced hot dog bun. Put it on a kaiser or a crusty roll and it's a 10".

I had a bite. Heck, I could have had half, but I could tell he was enjoying it. I did, however, give him half of my sandwich and all of my chips.

I ate all of the apples. Didn't even think to offer him some.

Good to know, I have it on the list as a QS lunch for when we are in the area on our 3rd day in MK.

Pretty much. He had all my chips, 1/2 of my sandwich, 1/2 of my cobbler. I scarfed the apples while his face was buried in the lobster roll.

Only a couple of times will you hear me complain of over-eating. Hubby - never.

Thought so, but wasn't sure. We've never eaten there. How is the lobster roll?

By far my favorite quick service in MK. Even on a crowded day you can usually find a table upstairs and the food choices are just different than anywhere else. It's always a welcome and refreshing change.

Me: No, but you get some.
Hubby: No, I thought you wanted some.

Lather, rinse, repeat, two more times.

They sure are selling a mish-mash of goods in the Pooh shop.

You have the usual assortment of Pooh, Tigger and Eyeore. Plus, Seven Dwarfs stuff. And now this.

I think I convinced him it's a scarf.

I thoroughly enjoyed my lobster roll when I was there this past week. Seriously good.

I guess I am going to have to try the lobster roll when I am there in 2 weeks.

Not only am I thoroughly enjoying this trip report & all these pictures, but also...

Holy jumping - it is hot out there today!

The heat is still pretty extreme, but the sparse crowds make up for it.

It is so hot. And it is so crowded.

And here we sit on the floor along with a hundred other die-hards who figure another 10 minutes (on top of the previous 20) of down-time inside the Philharmagic lobby is better than wandering around outside in the heat.

...I am slowly coming to the realization that Jennifer and I are somehow related.
