Jammin Jungle closing in June

I think it would be neat if they had like a tribal/African/etc. drum parade or something...not block off the streets just slowly move through the park maybe twice a day. Could even have a couple show stops and give a few "noise makers" to kids as well to join in... lots of possibilities here

Why does everything get sent away? It always seems like WDW loses things but other parks continue to just get and get and get.

I only watched this parade once because I had a hard time filling the day up enough at AK to stay there until it started. It was a cute parade, but I agree with others that there is really no room in this park for a parade, and when it is happening, you can't navigate through those areas at all. That being said, it seems like "included" entertainment is being replaced by "extra cost / ticketed" entertainment, which I don't like very much. :(

This parade leaving doesn't bother me at all. I don't really care about seeing any parades, and they just make navigating the park a hassle. Let MK be the hectic, bombastic park, and the other three be more laid back.

Seriously, the stress created by the crowd control for the parades is so elevated that I wonder if it's really worth it.

How sad that the Magic Kingdom has become the "hectic, bombastic park". I'm not even necessarily disagreeing with you, but it's too bad it's come to that.

That said, if someone doesn't like parades, that's fine. But Disney parks are synonymous with parades, and the fact that there will now only be 2 parades running in all of WDW, and both in one park, is concerning. Up until last year there were 4, and in the early 2000s there were 5! (Including Tapestry).

How does anyone defend the constant removal of entertainment offerings with no replacement?

Well it wasn't the greatest parade in history, not even in the history of WDW, it was a little too less Disney IMHO, especially the music which was mostly more like an early 90ies Easy Listening medley. I have seen it several times and that's enough, I will not miss it that much as long as there is a replacement. Let's hope the new evening show will outshine it in every way.

Does TDO consider the planned river show to be a replacement?

I'm sure for budgetary reasons they do. But I think the park needs both, honestly. And at this point, they still haven't even announced when the river show is going to premier. 2015? 20176? When Pandora opens in some distant future.

In the mean time there's nothing but cost savings in the entertainment budget and fewer entertainment options for guests.

There's a few things planned but nothing that I've heard will use the same head count as the parade
