I couldn't believe it...

It's not just a "source" who told OK magazine. It's an exclusive interview with Jamie Lynn and her mother Lynn.

Nickelodeon is not going to be happy with her. This might possibly be worse than the Vanessa Hudgens nude photo scandal!

If true, and not just an extremely unfunny joke, Lynn Spears certainly is reaping what she has sown as a stage mother.

...holds fingers to pulse...

Nope...not shocked at all.

What's better than watching one teen queen's life plummet? Watching her sister tag along with her.

This has Access Hollywood drooling.

I hate tabloids. :hurl:

Maybe TMZ, and AH...should just bite the bullet and have an "All Spears Network"...that would free up the rest of the show for other great stories...involving Lindsay Lohan, Paris Hilton, Nicole Ritchie, Brad and Angelina, and the like.

From TMZ...

UPDATE: Nickelodeon issued the following statement this afternoon: "We respect Jamie Lynn's decision to take responsibility in this sensitive and personal situation. We know this is a very difficult time for her and her family, and our primary concern right now is for Jamie Lynn's well being."

At least their being supportive so far...

“It was a shock for both of us, so unexpected,” Jamie Lynn Spears exlusively tells the new issue of OK! magazine about her surprise pregnancy. “I was in complete and total shock and so was he.”

He being her boyfriend, Casey Aldridge.

Little Jamie Lynn is 12 weeks pregnant and initially kept the news to herself when she learned of the pregnancy from an at-home test and subsequent doctor visit.

“As soon as I found out for sure from the doctor, I took two weeks to myself where I didn’t tell anybody,” she says. “Only one of my friends knew because I needed to work out what I would do for myself before I let anyone’s opinion affect my decision. Then I told my parents and my friends. I was scared, but I had to do what was right for me.”

Jamie Lynn told momma Spears, Lynne, just before Thanksgiving, the magazine reports.

“She was very upset because it wasn’t what she expected at all,” Spears says. “A week after, she had time to cope with it and became very supportive.”

Lynne Spears tells OK!: “I didn’t believe it because Jamie Lynn’s always been so conscientious. She’s never late for her curfew. I was in shock. I mean, this is my 16-year-old baby.”

What message does the sixteen year old Spears want to send to other teens about premarital s e x?

“I definitely don’t think it’s something you should do; it’s better to wait,” she says. “But I can’t be judgmental because it’s a position I put myself in.”

Unlike Britney, Jamie Lynn says she plans to raise the baby in her home state of Louisiana — “so it can have a normal family life.”

The Zoey 101 star tells the mag, “I haven’t spoken to (Nickelodeon) personally, but they have always been so great to me over the past years and have given me so many opportunities.”

This is an absolute shock! How could something like this happen to a girl whose older sister is such a positive role model.

Nickelodeon doesn't care. Free publicity for them. We are in no place to judge the girl. I don't know her personally, but I can say that this isn't far from normal nowadays. Walking around high schools from even the best parts of the country, you will see several pregnant teens.

It was her choice, the world isn't how it used to be. Her older sister gets thrown around in the tabloids with false rumors, etc, but she probably enjoys the publicity. It's her job, and in turn, her life.

I'm sorry, I love Britney. :lookaroun Call it nostalgia, plus Blackout was just awesome.

Edit: These girls aren't good role models for children, they are growing up and have no restrictions. If you want a good role model, Miley Cyrus/Hannah Montana is the way to go, she recently thanked Hilary Duff for making it 'cool' to be a good girl. It was adorable.

While I am not a fan of his music it sure seems like Billy Ray is one heck of a good dad. It seems like he has stuck the perfect balance of letting his daughter have fun but keeping her grounded in reality and teaching her personal responsibility.

I am glad there is at least one other person out there that isn't afraid to admit that! Don't get me wrong, I think Britney has turned to pure trash and I would be beside myself if any of my kids acted like her, but I still like her. I feel very sorry for her and truly hope that one day she can pull it together before she ends up like Anna Nicole. I often wonder if all the cameras in her face and publicity disappeared for a year or so, would she be able to pull it together again?

Come on, admit it...we all love watching the Spears train wreck. Just when you think they can't get any worse...they do. It's fantastic. :lookaroun

It seems harsh to blame Lynne when her daughters are the ones making their decisions, however, had they had a little guidance and stability as kids, and weren't shoved into stardom to gratify their parents ego's, perhaps they wouldn't be facing the challenges that they are now. She's not the first 16 year old to get pregnant, and she won't be the last. It's unfortunate for her that her sister has to be Britney Spears-otherwise, we wouldn't even be blinking about this today.

^ I hear it's coming out in less than 9 months...

Now what's this about a book? :lookaroun

Everyone at school was talking about it today like they were so shocked. Odd thing is yesterday we were studying reproduction in bio and someone cracked a Britney Spears joke!

It least she held out for a while. Didn't her mommy Brittney have her when she was a pre-teen. Glad she could hold out a little longer than her mother. Maybe things won't be so bad for Jamie...
