Good morning folks - Mike's back at work and a full day of housework for me. And yet I am here. :lookaroun

Tried out my Wii Fit this morning - although it reveals all kinds of interesting info, it allows you to keep it private. That way nosy kids don't have to know details. :D I think I'm really going to like it. I set a goal for the next three months, to lose 22 pounds. We shall see.

Is anyone else in an office working...? :lookaroun
...and worked a full day on Christmas Eve...?:lookaroun

I'm in today for a full day. I'm one of the only people here too. :brick: Also worked Christmas Eve but only until 1:30.

How was your Christmas, Kat?

Awww - sorry you ladies have to work today.

Yes, we'll see. I've been wanting to do something positive about my health for such a long time, instead of just stagnating. I have a looooong way to go though.

Well that's good to know! Would hate for little brothers to see that kind of info.:dazzle:

That's great Jenny! I am on a quest to do the same thing. I want to lose 30 pounds by the time I move to FL (which gives me about 7 months to do so).

Hey Nibbs! How was your holiday yesterday?
It was actually a lot better than I thought it would be. Things went very smooth, all things considering. (Especially since on Tues. night I didn't know what we were going to end up doing with WHF's family, that was such a fiasco!)

Went to my grandma's on Wed, then ended up deciding to open presents with my family on Christmas Eve after visiting my grandma. I got a lot of great stuff from Disney, since my mom shopped a lot for me while we were down there. And on top of all of that, my dad got us the most awesome present. We got a Wii! Yay! We didn't get home from opening presents until around 1:30-2:00 am.

Then yesterday, we went to the casino for lunch with WHF's parents and the best part was his brother brought the baby. So, WHF's mom and I got to hang out with Katie while WHF, his dad and brother went into the casino to gamble a bit.

Then we went to visit WHF's grandma and grandpa and then back to my parent's house for dinner and Wii playing. My arm is so sore! But I rock at the Boxing game! My dad really wants to get Rock Band though. I think that was the whole reason he bought the Wii.

How was yours?

Well, my dishes are done and the laundry is sorted....all I have left is bills, and they'll still be around tomorrow. :lookaroun Everytime I sort laundry I am fully aware of the fact of how blessed my family is materially. You would think I am washing every single piece of clothing in my house, but there's still more that hasn't been worn :dazzle: Especially with my eldest going through more than one outfit a day usually.

We'll have to encourage one another. :)

I did. They were much nicer than I thought they would be, which was nice. :) It was more surprising than anything how nice it was. Especially considering the fiasco I thought it was going to be even up to Tues. night/Wed. morning.

Now, granted, I don't get to play the Wii everyday, but I sure as heck plan on getting that game that Bun had...the Wario Ware one, or whatever it's called.

I'd love to get that one too - you may need to hunt on eBay for it though. Or see if a gaming store sells used games. I remember trying to hunt for it and not finding it anywhere. :shrug:But I remember how much fun we had at Bun's playing it.
Abby and I are really getting into Smash Bros though. I'm still doing solo games, but I'm getting better. :D

Oh! I think I found the name of it...I think it's WarioWare:Smooth Moves

I might have to get Smash Bros. for WHF and I to play. :)

It will be weird...we'll be bringing our own games to play on the family game console.

So the Wii is at your folks' house for the whole family? That's neat - I think my parents would get a kick out of it, but I don't know if they'd agree. They're more content to watch these days
I located several copies of WarioWare on Ebay - ave cost $50-75.

Okay, now I need to go turn the Wii on  - see ya later!

Yeah, my dad bought it for the whole family. It will stay there, unless for some reason somehow it's brought to our house for something. I was just so shocked...for many reasons. 1. b/c we had a Wii and 2. b/c my dad actually knew what Wii was! :lookaroun

Well, my dad had a blast last night, although he'd played Wii before, I'd learned...and I think my mom had fun too...even though she stinks. We even made a Mii for my grandma, who we know will never play, but it's fun to have it for her.

I really got the hang of the boxing game and quickly knocked out both my mom and WHF, although WHF got the hang of it the second time.

I really must look for the Wario Ware one though...I know that would be fun to have.

And have fun yourself playing!

That's great Nibbs! And that's awsome they got you a Wii! I swear, the Wii is the best system ever. I will have to get one for myself when I move to FL.

It was good for me too. My dad got the family a Blu-Ray player (our dvd player bit the dust, so we were using my PS2 to play dvds). And I'm buying an Ipod touch tomorrow (I got enough cash for Christmas to get it!). I also got 3 new DS games- Mario and Sonic Olympics, Carnival Games, and the new Guitar Hero game. We also got Wii Fit, and some sport game (Deka sports, or something like that?).

We'll have to encourage one another. :)

Oh definitely!:)

Abby and I are really getting into Smash Bros though. I'm still doing solo games, but I'm getting better. :D

I stink at Brawl.:o
