Trip Report It's Two, Two, TWO Trips in One! *COMPLETED*

Title reference for those of you younger than dirt ~

Got it? Good!

This trip report is somewhat unique and calls for a different kind of introduction. This, as you may recognize, is a picture of me and my significant other.

I invite you, if you dare, to follow along on a lengthy adventure that includes three resorts, lots of flowers, exotic food and a Fruber (a what?) Because this report travels directly to.........the Tuvalu Zone.

I awakened in the early dawn hour again and did some reading while Mom slept. I had just stepped into the shower when Mom's alarm clock began to ring....and ring....and ring....and ring....to the point I seriously considered turning off the water and grabbing a towel so I could check on her. My hand was on the faucet when the ringing stopped.

"Good, she's awake," I thought.

I finished showering, dried off, got dressed and blew dry my hair. Then I pulled back the privacy curtain.

Mom was sound asleep.

About ten minutes later she began to stir. She stretched, yawned, looked at me and said: "My alarm never went off!"
:in pain:

I zipped over to the food court to get her cawfee and some breakfast. She was dressed upon my return and we ate. Made it to the bus stop just as the MK bus arrived and five minutes later we were on our way (a nice change from yesterday morning!)

A reminder of how the Emporium previously looked:

And how it looked this morning:

(I remember you said the scrim painting was complete at the time of your visit, @MinnieM123.)

We were there in time to catch the new Welcome Show.

While the Fairy Godmother is a nice touch, I still miss the Mayor and the Trolley performers. :(

Lovely Main St photo of you two! Makes me want to check out dates for next year!

I'm envious of anyone who sleeps so soundly they don't hear the alarm. :)

Mom and I walked through the castle into Fantasyland. It had been awhile since she saw the tile mural and it always brings back memories of our family vacations in the 70s.

Peter Pan is one of Mom's must-do's so that's where we started.

She is also partial to IASW since she saw the original at the New York State Fair in 1964.

We had a front row seat for our cruise today.

Had Mom seen the new PPF queue before? What does she think of it, if you went that way--I can't tell if you had fast passes.

Our first FP was for Mom's newest fave ride ~ Seven Dwarfs Mine Train. I sat next to her the first time she rode it and she was little-kid happy....the story of Snow White reminds her of her childhood....and the coaster had just enough thrill to make her squeal with glee. She was excited to hear that I got FPs for both our MK days.

IMG_7351.JPG

Our next attraction was less intense.

Another clamshell selfie!
IMG_7089.JPG

We practically had this ride to ourselves.....empty clamshells all around ours.....perhaps the CMs had cleared the line for a celebrity? ;)

Mom tried for celebrity status by attempting to pull the sword from the stone. She failed.
IMG_7090.JPG

To cheer her up, we went to see Donald. Donald makes her laugh.
IMG_7091.JPG

I never noticed the musical instruments in the carpet. (Note to self: Remember to look down too!)

This is wonderful!! Loving seeing you and your mom together!!
We had a great time.

Tu clever!

I think this was her first time seeing the new standby queue, as she usually fastpasses Pan. She was intrigued by Tinkerbell's appearances!

Though I have never asked her point-blank, I don't think Mom's a big Haunted Mansion fan. I sense that she tolerates it and would be fine skipping it altogether.

But as all moms know, we sacrifice for our children. Even when your child happens to be a grandma who loves Haunted Mansion. ;)

Mom stopped to look at the Pet Cemetery after our tour. She likes to find Mr. Toad. Both of us laughed at the duck tombstone:
Little Waddle saw the truck
But Little Waddle didn't duck

Ironically, our next FP was at Mr. Toad's former residence.

Guess where we had lunch....
IMG_7098.JPG

I had the privilege of being with Mom on her first visit to BOG. It was for lunch on her birthday, 2/1/15.
I also had the privilege of eating with Mom on her second visit to BOG. It was for dinner on her birthday, 2/1/15.
Yeah, it was a BOG double-dip day!!

That was then:

And this is now:
IMG_7100.JPG

Sitting at the same table was not intentional!!

Our lunch may have been the best meal I've had at BOG, and I've had a lot of good lunches there! Mom and I shared an overstuffed turkey sandwich with green beans jardiniere and a side of "hot and crispy" (Mom's words) fries. She rarely eats French fries and she couldn't stop raving about how delicious they were and how tasty the turkey Sammie was. I was in total agreement. :hungry:

The picture is my half of our meal! Very generous portion sizes today.

Mom did not want any dessert but I could not dine at BOG without getting a Master's Cupcake.
