Trip Report It's Two, Two, TWO Trips in One! *COMPLETED*

Title reference for those of you younger than dirt ~

Got it? Good!

This trip report is somewhat unique and calls for a different kind of introduction. This, as you may recognize, is a picture of me and my significant other.

I invite you, if you dare, to follow along on a lengthy adventure that includes three resorts, lots of flowers, exotic food and a Fruber (a what?) Because this report travels directly to.........the Tuvalu Zone.

Tuvalu Prime/Mom: "Do they sell coffee on Main Street?"
Me: "Um, yeah....there's a Starbucks." (Do not laugh at your mama.)
TP/Mom: "I think I'd like some coffee."
Me: "Would you like me to take your mug to the food court and get you some?"
TP/Mom: "No. I'll get it on Main Street."

With that, the decision of "what shall we do tonight?" was made. We were going to the Magic Kingdom!

We arrived here around 6:15 pm.

TP/Mom drinks 2-3 cups of black coffee with a splash of milk each day. She has done so every day of my life. She does not care for flavored coffees and could not understand the whole Starbucks phenomenon when it arrived in our area...."Who would pay that much for a cup of coffee?!!"

So I nearly fell down when she walked up to the register and said, "I'll have a s'mores frappuccino."
A WHAT???!!!! :jawdrop:
Me: "I thought you wanted a cup of coffee?"
TP/Mom: "I said I wanted coffee. This will serve as my dinner too."
Um, okay.
TP/Mom: "Aren't you going to order something?"
Said to her daughter who doesn't drink coffee nor coffee flavored beverages, and who only goes into Starbucks when she's with other people....
Me (quickly scanning the menu): "I'll have a strawberry smoothie."
TP/Mom: "I'm paying."
At this moment I fully expected her to pull out a Starbucks gift card ~ after all, I just witnessed a side of my mother I didn't know existed!

I believe my straw was twice as tall as my cup....would it be too difficult to offer shorter straws for the smaller drink cups?

Since there were no tables to sit at, TP/Mom suggested a bench. (Do not laugh at your mama.)
We ended up sitting on one of the low walls near the hub garden. We people watched as we drank and I secured a 4th FP for us.

Yes I totally agree with you

Lets see if it works for everyone

It might rain this weekend - I don't want to get wet - I need a poncho - lets all hop on a plane and fly to Florida to buy one at WDW!!!!

(doubt it will work but gave it a shot)

Okay, let's finish up with Monday, shall we?

We went to Tomorrowland to pass some time before our FP window opened up. Mom likes the birds-eye view of the TTA....she DID NOT like climbing up the still-broken escalator ramp.

When we reached the top, there was a big gap between vehicles ~ something I had never seen before in the loading area.

Mom may be smiling, but her heart is still racing from the uphill climb.

Of course the escalator works perfectly fine on the way down.....:banghead:

Then we went to check out the latest technological marvels from 1990.

Mom and I left Tomorrowland via the hub and crossed into Adventureland to use our FP.

Our wait wasn't long at all.

Ready for an onslaught of Jungle Cruise Skipper puns?

(Pointing to the book on the riverbank) "That's the Jungle Book! And we saw it together! Wasn't that a real bonding experience?"

(Pointing to the natives)
"I recognize these spears. They're from the Britney collection. Yeah, they're toxic."

(After firing gun at hippos) "The Jungle Cruise gets better after two shots."

(Pointing at dock) "Get out! Oh, sorry that's rude of me. Please GET OUT!"

@Sheriff Woody, the rhino sleeps tonight.........someplace else!

Mom wanted to find a "good spot" to watch Wishes. But one "near the exit" so we wouldn't be stuck "in the crazy crowd."

Frankly I was surprised she even wanted to stay for the fireworks. (I did not get my "fireworks obsessed" gene from her!) We found a spot against the railing atop the train station. (She was willing to climb the stairs.)

This was a bonus Wishes finale for me. I thought my viewing from the Poly beach with Woody was my final finale. So I decided to just watch....no pictures....and burn the image into my brain. (Too bad you weren't there, @TrolleyFollower91 ~ you would have been proud of me!)

Mom and I must have received a huge sprinkle of pixie dust, because the Pop bus was at the gate and we pulled away at 9:20 pm....less than 10 minutes after Wishes had ended. Then during our ride, we were able to watch the Star Wars fireworks out the bus window. A double dose of fireworks fun!

We "popped" into the food court for some bottled water and a snack ~ my strawberry smoothie dinner had worn off and I was hungry. But the food court was a zoo.....long lines at each food station....so I surveyed my options in the grab-and-go section and picked up my favorite < insert sarcasm font > nutritious, high fiber, low-calorie snack.

I had breakfast for dinner! :hilarious:
