Trip Report It's Two, Two, TWO Trips in One! *COMPLETED*

Title reference for those of you younger than dirt ~

Got it? Good!

This trip report is somewhat unique and calls for a different kind of introduction. This, as you may recognize, is a picture of me and my significant other.

I invite you, if you dare, to follow along on a lengthy adventure that includes three resorts, lots of flowers, exotic food and a Fruber (a what?) Because this report travels directly to.........the Tuvalu Zone.

When we got off the moving sidewalk into that large atrium area, Mom said: "I'm so glad none of the grandkids are here."
I looked at her quizzically.
"I'm happy I don't have to go upstairs to see the fish. I don't like looking at fish."
Explains why she was making a beeline for the exit door. :hilarious:
Literally LOL-ing at your mom. I also don't feel the need to see the fish more than you see them during the ride. :hilarious: :hilarious: :hilarious:

My Uber driver lifted my spirits on the journey to my new resort. Although technically, it was JOURNEY who lifted my spirits on the journey. The driver had the radio on and when the first few notes of the song Lights began to play (and my head began to bob in rhythm), he CRANKED UP THE VOLUME and we both sang along....at the top of our lungs!

It gets better. The next song was I've Had The Time of My Life ~ the driver sang the Bill Medley part while I sang Jennifer Warnes' part ~ again at ear-deafening volume.

It was my BEST Uber ride ever.

This. Is. Awesome.

For those of you who hold your nose at this part ~ imagine strong coffee. The smell becomes much more palatable.
I'm not sure if it was you mentioning this before, or if someone else has, but I tried this on one of my trips in February, and it works!!

Monday, con't

Our feet swift like a gazelle's, we made it here in no time. Isn't this what springtime in Arendelle should look like? Lots of green. :)

I caught a sunbeam in this shot!

As FEA rides go, this one was a dud. I was thankful it was not Mom's first time (though I felt sorry for any first-timers.) Elsa's mouth did not move as she sang Let it Go which looked ridiculous.....nor did the animated Elsa appear appear in the tunnel when our boat travelled backward, resulting in a strange darkness.

IMG_7344.JPG

And why do the ride pics from FEA now have an odd blurriness on the right side? o_O

Artist Larry Dotson was in the gift shop. It was a tight space and we weren't able to browse his work. Money saved!

Love reading about you and your Moms trip,
Cherish every moment with her.
My Mom passed in April at the young age of 76 :(.
She would come with us every other year for the last 20 Plus years.
The family photos (even the birthday cake castle) are priceless now.

Very sorry for your loss of your mother. My first trip to WDW was in 1985, and it was my mother and me. No matter how many times I've been since then, nothing has come close to the wonderful memories I have of the both of us there. (She passed away quite a few years ago.)

So sorry for the loss of your beloved Mom, Cindy. I am blessed to still have mine.

Orchids are Mom's favorite flower so a visit to Mexico was a must.

Then we went inside.

What a difference a couple of days makes! No line whatsoever at La Cava. Too bad Mom and I don't care for tequila.
IMG_7016.JPG

But there was a beverage I HAD to try, thanks to @Sheriff Woody's trip report recommendation.

A frozen Violet Lemonade.
IMG_7017.JPG

Oh was she right!! So very very right!! This tasted like nothing I'd ever had before ~ such a unique flavor, not too sweet and very refreshing. In my excitement I took a large slurp via the straw, a decision I instantly regretted.....COLD HEADACHE!!!!! :in pain:

Mom immediately went into Mom-mode. "You never drink a frozen drink using a straw!" she scolded, handing me a spoon.

Lesson learned.

We perused a couple more gardens before our lunch at Le Cellier. I had raved about the prix fixe lunch option when Woody and I returned from our December trip and Mom asked me to book an ADR.

This was on our table.

(It would have been nicer if the card said TODAY rather than TONIGHT, since it was only 1pm.)

The prix fixe menu:
IMG_7021.JPG

(Look, the menu is creased. Much like the secret documents leaked to Intercept by Reality Williams. :cautious:)

I wanted to tell our server to hold the other rolls and just give us PRETZEL BREAD!!
IMG_7022.JPG

I gave half the breadstick to Mom and dunked the other half in my cheddar cheese soup. :hungry:
IMG_7023.JPG

(I knew where you had your soup today, @littleroo, but I let others guess. ;))

Mom chose the poached pears as her appetizer. She must have loved it as it was gone before I'd even made a dent in my soup. To be honest, I barely made more than a dent anyway ~ that bowl was huge and the rich soup could have been a meal by itself.

IMG_7024.JPG

I had to save room for the delectable beef tenderloin.
IMG_7027.JPG

The filet was like butta!!!!!

Mom ordered the Wagyu beef burger "Oscar". Neither of us expected this.
IMG_7026.JPG

The side of truffle fries (yum-o) could have easily fed 4.

Here's what the burger looked like sans the garnish spear.
IMG_7028.JPG

It was on a PRETZEL BUN!!! What an unexpected treat! Mom devoured the burger.

Did we have dessert? But of course! (It was included after all.)

Mom polished off her creme brûlée. She said it was the best she'd ever had.
IMG_7030.JPG

I had LOVED the chocolate mousse when I had it in December and so went for a repeat.
IMG_7031.JPG

Sadly, I was SO FULL at this point I could only manage a few bites.

Mom and I both declared our Le Cellier experience superb!

We waddled our way back to Future World and browsed in Mouse Gear and Art of Disney before catching the bus to Pop. The afternoon had turned quite warm and we needed a rest break in the cool a/c of our room.
