Trip Report It's Two, Two, TWO Trips in One! *COMPLETED*

Title reference for those of you younger than dirt ~

Got it? Good!

This trip report is somewhat unique and calls for a different kind of introduction. This, as you may recognize, is a picture of me and my significant other.

I invite you, if you dare, to follow along on a lengthy adventure that includes three resorts, lots of flowers, exotic food and a Fruber (a what?) Because this report travels directly to.........the Tuvalu Zone.

Ah, your mum joined you - that's so nice something I am hoping will happen again for me at some time. (although the castle birthday cake photo isn't nice!) that was my very first view of the castle and it just wasn't good!
Enjoying your report and looking forward to reading all about your time with your mum.

Sunday, con't

After I bid Woody farewell (is it wrong that I shed a tear at the end of Wishes but not when my beloved left me?) I returned to Hawaii ~ it was Happy Hour!

Score for more turkey BLTs! As you can see, I was one of "those people" who made dinner from the apps. Actually, I was just filling my hunger for Woody with food (sorry Em!)

I was also trying to stretch the remaining time I had left at the Poly. I neglected to mention that this morning when Woody dropped his bag at Resort Airline Check In, I stowed my suitcase with Bell Services. It was moving day to resort #3.

I sat in the lounge long enough to receive a text from Woody saying he had met up with my next vacation companion in the airport.....which meant I needed to say goodbye to the Poly.

My Uber driver lifted my spirits on the journey to my new resort. Although technically, it was JOURNEY who lifted my spirits on the journey. The driver had the radio on and when the first few notes of the song Lights began to play (and my head began to bob in rhythm), he CRANKED UP THE VOLUME and we both sang along....at the top of our lungs!

It gets better. The next song was I've Had The Time of My Life ~ the driver sang the Bill Medley part while I sang Jennifer Warnes' part ~ again at ear-deafening volume.

It was my BEST Uber ride ever.

So I was in a good mood when I checked in here:

My first view of the castle was the '96 pink explosion.
My only childhood Disney trip consisted on the birthday cake castle...
Let's all blow a raspberry and give the pink castle cake a collective thumbs down!!

I love your shirt. I have the same one. I feel special now because I have a shirt that @Tuvalu owns.
We can be twinsies! :p

Monday, May 8

I woke up really early....we're talking 5:30 am....and despite my best efforts I could not fall back to sleep. Can't blame the mattress or the pillow, both were super comfy (take that, you value resort haters! ;))

When Mom began to stir, I walked to the food court to get her coffee and my breakfast. (She had purchased cereal, milk and bananas last night.)

Sunrise in the 70s.

I appreciate that the elevators in each building are behind the giant icons. Makes them easy to find!

Filled Mom's mug with coffee and got the kids breakfast platter for myself.

(You may be thinking, "Aha! Purse grapes!" But they never made it to my purse cause I ate them!)

Mom and I arrived at the bus stop to overloaded queues for all 4 parks. It was chaos as it was hard to tell where each line began. The wait for our bus was 25 minutes!

Where were we going?

Mom and I hoofed it to our first attraction since we didn't have a FP and wanted make the standby line before it got too crazy.

Mom had not ridden standby since the refurb. She's a big Jeopardy and Millionaire fan and liked the new interactive game.

Our wait ended up being only 15 minutes and we lucked out with Glider B. Mom prefers Soarin Around the World to the old version since she has visited several places featured in the film.

Our first FP was for THE FARM RIDE.

Today I decided to focus on the water features in the attraction. I know this will be greatly appreciated by @TheMouseFan, @littleroo and @hakunamatata who clearly have not seen nearly enough water over the last few days. :cautious:

You have to admit water is soothing. :p

As we exited the boat Mom announced, "I enjoyed that more than usual." (Hard to tell if she meant that was better than ever! or that was better than the dull ride it normally is!)

I just smiled.

The water we are experiencing is anything but soothing! But thanks for thinking of us!

Mom admired and read about the medicinal plants, pepper plants and the other florals that line the walkway between Imagination and the Living Seas.

I see you winking at us, Spaceship Earth!

Time to find Nemo.....

As we exited our clamshell the CM called out, "Watch your step and swim towards the hand rail!"

When we got off the moving sidewalk into that large atrium area, Mom said: "I'm so glad none of the grandkids are here."
I looked at her quizzically.
"I'm happy I don't have to go upstairs to see the fish. I don't like looking at fish."
Explains why she was making a beeline for the exit door. :hilarious:

Spaceship Earth was struggling today.

This was the start of the FP line.
IMG_7006.JPG

Here's a better angle ~
IMG_7004.JPG

(At least Mom had the purple people eater to keep her entertained while we waited.)

The struggle continued inside. The omnimover was barely moving and frequently stopped. The camera wasn't working so only cartoon people appeared in the video at the end of the ride. Our experience ate up way more time than anticipated and the window for our next FP had opened minutes earlier.

But Mom and I are quick walkers.

I know I say this every year, but how I wish these floating planters were year-round!!!

The photographer was lonesome so we stopped for a quick pic.

I'm a newby here to wdwmagic, though a long time fan of disney. I'm loving your trip report and so looking forward to my upcoming trip in September! And even though I've been to wdw at least a dozen times I have NEVER been on "the farm ride" so I can't wait to do it. Looking forward to more of your posts.....
